  1. I think that above 2.0 is suspect and that you should have further testing. Free T4, Free T3, and anitibodies. Check out www.stopthethyroidmadness.com Go to recommended labwork
  2. I dose heavily on Vit B, Vit C, and sea salt. Make sure to use unrefinved sea salt...like 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon in morning and at night. I mix mine with low sodium V8. That seems to help alot with the feeling like fainting when I stand up situation--but I can't be too sure. THey really seem to be helping me feel better though!
  3. I just tried the focaccia mix...I made a sauce-less pizza with it. I added rushed garlic cloves to the dough. Baked for 15 min. Added mushrooms sliced tomatoes and cheese on top and baked for another 15 or 20 minutes...it was yummy!
  4. Jestgar...go to www.stopthethyroidmadness.com and go to the forum...there is a children's section. YOu should definately check it out.
  5. Interesting...I feel like sometimes I starting to get fibro symptoms--my back is always sore and very tight...achey knees, chronic headaches...and of course, fatigue! I'm only 25, so I feel like everyone just think I'm a hypochondriac! I wish they'd listen to me :-(
  6. THanks Georgie! Georgie, do you also take HC for adrenals or no? I'm going to get those checked with canary club soon and I'm working on convincing my ND for perhaps a trial of Armour, but we'll see--I'm not sure what she's thinking in terms of my symptoms, but she doesn't seem to think thyroid or adrenals are the issue--but I disagree!
  7. Hi Sara, You and I seem very similar in symptoms and such and low and behold, our labs appear similar as well...did you get Free T4 as well? I think that the Free T3 is the most important one besides the antibodies. Here are my results below. I feel like crap, too, but the docs don't seem to think that it's a thyroid issue even though I have all the...
  8. Is soy protein concentrate bad too? Or just soy isolate? Thank!
  9. Thanks everyone! I am already gluten-free, so perhaps it's from something else. We'll see what the doc says--probably that "it's normal" and "some people just get it"--they like to use that one on me. Sorry, I'm a little bitter today :-)
  10. I 2nd the Bob's Red Mill whole grain hearty--really good and hearty!!!
  11. That's so interesting because when I get glutened I always have pain on my right side right below my ribs--it would usualy extend up into my right shoulder as well. I always thought it was reflux, but maybe it's my liver!
  12. I just interent searched for it and apparently there is a link between celiac and elevated liver enzymes. Sadly, I'm gluten free so that would mean either I'm not doing a very good job being gluten free or there is some other underlying issues
  13. Hey everyone, Apparently I have elevated liver enzymes. Anyone know what that means? Thanks!
  14. I really like Bob's red mill hearty grain mix--really yummy!
  15. Gardenburger breakfast patties are super yummy and gluten-free!
  16. I eat there all the time and don't have problems, but everyone should make there own decisions on this kind of stuff.
  17. It really is very good! I got it for $3.50--and it's the best bread I've had yet!
  18. gluten-free Hearty Whole Grain Bread from Bob's red mill is yum yum, YUMMY!!! It was so great to bake bread that tasted truly hardy! Highly recommended by me!
  19. Y'all are making me feel a lot better...I have some dead animal and sustainability guilt :-)
  20. Yeah...I'm going to get my iron checked tomorrow. Thanks guys!
  21. Hello all...Happy New Year! So here's the thing...I'm a vegetarian...have been for about 10 years. Lately I've been seriously craving meat...has this happened to any other vegetarians? I don't really want to start eating meat but my body seems to want it. Anyone know what's up?
  22. Sorry to say, but my post won't be helpful...however, I just wanted to mention that my niece had hypotonia as an infant--she almost died from it. Anyway, she is overweight (she's now 11 yrs. old)--her mother, my sister, is a nutritionist, and so I feel like she's overweight because of her problems as an infant not a result of how she was brought up. She...
  23. You guys have Whole Food up there, right? You may want to call them up and ask...I kinda think they'd have it. My friend owns a restaurant so she said she'll pick me up a case from her distributer...I can't wait!!!
  24. Georgie, I'll try to work that angle...thanks! I could not have thyroid issues, but it just seems like a good candidate for my symptoms. I got serious reflux too, are they connected? Could be adrenals...I'll get that checked out prolly. Can you feel the nodules or did you have a test done for that? Thanks again!
  25. That is during the day...but it usually is lower during the day than in the morning which is really weird...Thanks!
