  1. Mainly more agressive bone treatment such as boniva or fosomax.
  2. I am so sorry for your loss You did the right thing, though, since she was suffering.
  3. So....what were the results of your tests?
  4. My IgG was elevated, but I didn't have a biopsy until 7 months later. The biopsies were normal, but I have an amazing dietary response.
  5. For future reference, McCormick clearly labels gluten, and their garlic salt is gluten-free. Actually, Lawry's is under the Unilever umbrella, they'll clearly list also.
  6. Well, if you're gluten-free and don't buy a lot of the gluten-free substitutes (breads, cookies, donuts, etc), you de facto cut out a lot of crap. Almost the entire fast food industry, for example. In my household, we eat healthier just because we can't eat out as much and what we eat when we're out is healthier anyway. My husband doesn't have to be gluten...
  7. *bump* Gotta hit the weekday traffic
  8. Huge hugs, Jess
  9. Anything that can be battered can be deep fried It's a southern delicacy down here too - blech! State fair food is evil. I think I saw those things on unwrapped and said "EWW" And then I saw them in my sister's freezer. What on Earth is wrong with people? Oh, and when I got to college (I moved from NY...
  10. Indeed I do Open Original Shared Link I posted that recipe forever ago. All of the quantities can be tweaked to taste, and of course fresh herbs are better than dried, but dried works fine!
  11. It's probably the stupid "whole grains" fad, and I guess adding wheat starch back in makes it more whole grain.
  12. I would probably skip that day Even if you did have gluten-free wafers (that are crazy expensive), how would you guard against cc in that setting?
  13. Thanks! You know what, I'm sure that's it. I haven't had sores in a LONG TIME and they never did the whole mouth thing. I feel like I have a cold and that explains it. There was a toddler in my office a few days ago, I bet that's where it came from. It's refreshing to have a virus for a change!
  14. So I ate some sour starbursts on Thursday I think, and my mouth broke out in all kinds of irritation, those famous celiac mouth sores. I have clusters of mouth ulcers between my lip and gum, under my tongue, on my soft palate, and I think even on my throat. Even my tongue hurts. That was mistake number one, though I've never had that kind of reaction to sour...
  15. I found this one: Open Original Shared Link P.F.Chang's Lettuce Wraps Recipe (copycat) Ingredients: 8 dried shiitake mushrooms 1 teaspoon cornstarch 2 teaspoons dry sherry 2 teaspoons water salt and pepper 1-1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken, minced 5 tablespoons oil 1 teaspoon fresh minced ginger 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 green...
  16. No, cheese fries with bacon and downing in real ranch dressing sounds good in a "but it would probably kill me" sort of way... Deep fried mac and cheese just goes against all that is holy
  17. I'm not diabetic either, but I am hypoglycemic. If I get glutened my blood sugar gets totally out of whack. It's like I can't eat enough to keep it up.
  18. I have a great excuse not to eat the TGI Friday's fried mac and cheese. GROSS!
  19. Thanks, y'all. You totally made me blow my diet My grilled cheese made with the gluten-free pantry bread and the Amy's tomato soup was quite tasty, thought!
  20. Apparently they restarted the whole list at the beginning of this year...36 pages of products, all verified in the last 9 months! Thanks Delphi celiacs!! Send them a note over there if you're a member! Open Original Shared Link

  22. I also add powdered buttermilk to my ranch mix. I usually use it dry to season chicken and whatnot.
  23. I'm good. I hope you get over the cold soon! I would tell the director personally, it's something that needs to be taken seriously. Making you purposefully sick is definitely harrassment if not assault. Definitely unacceptable. Especially since your health is already comprimised because of celiac. It's truly unthinkable that someone, especially an...
