  1. Here is the Ore-Ida list: Open Original Shared Link I think they give you more info if you email them.
  2. Um, do what you gotta do to reduce redness. Eye drops are gluten-free. It's almost totally plastic
  3. I am 3 weeks into gluten overload and I'm pretty much a stoned monster. That's bloated. And 10 lbs. fatter than 3 weeks ago. I'm going to try to make it the whole three months, since I was gluten-free four months before deciding I wanted a biopsy (I'm so smart ). In my case, it seems like my body is just so overwhelmed it doesn't know what to...
  4. Soooo...I was in a mediterranean market here in Texas, and aside from that wierd statement they had an odd mishmash of greek, middle eastern, spanish, and british foods. I was so psyched that they had so much british stuff! My BIL is from England so I got spoiled with good english stuff. Does anyone know if the following products are gluten-free: Bird...
  5. Hmm. Enterolab tests for IgA antibodies, which is a problem for you, BUT they also test for malabsorbtion. If you have celiac, you probably have some degree of malabsorbtion. It also tests for the genes for celiac and gluten intolerance, so it may very well be worthwhile for you.
  6. Oscar Meyer has a way with B-A-C-O-N!! Yummy! (it's a Kraft product)
  7. Enterolab is a lab that does stool testing for gluten antibodies and malabsorption, among other things. That test is much more sensitive than blood tests, and can be done after being gluten-free a while. With the Upper GI Endoscopy you had, your doctor was misinformed. It takes a good period of time (certainly more than a week) for damage to show in the...
  8. All I can say is maybe you can experiment with silken tofu? You may have to add more gelitine to it. Unless you're avoiding soy....then I've got nothin'
  9. What do we need wheat in the vajayjay for?
  10. Trust me, it's a big difference. The biggest being that chemE's are far more attractive (IMO) than chemists
  11. A chemical engineer actually, who specializes in polymers
  12. Entirely industrial, and gluten-free. lubricant, polymer, polymer, vaso-constrictor Next time, for a more natural approach, go for saline
  13. As a general rule, liquids going directly into mucous membranes (other than the mouth) or into the bloodstream are not going to have gluten. That means nose spray, eye drops, IV fluids, and lubes are all gluten-free. There's not only no reason for gluten to get in those things, it would be dangerous to have big proteins like gluten floating around. Besides...
  14. Haha, me too! I'd go out and have 2 or 3 long islands and have a grand old time! Only beer gave me hangovers, wonder why . Funny story though - my friend and I were the top people at our job in college (student activites) and we went to this favorite mexican restaurant in town. It was two-for-tuesday magaritas Two (strong) margaritas later...

    ARCHIVED Applebees

Yeah, that was more my point. I wouldn't even set foot in there with management like that, and I bet corporate would not appreciate what he said to you. Even if they don't cater to "wierd diets" there is certainly a better way to say it.
  16. Not true, to have an endoscopy you have to be eating A LOT of gluten (at least the equivalent of 4 slices of bread a day) for 3-6 months for damage to show. That was in Dr. Greene's book, I think.

    ARCHIVED Applebees

And that's when you call corporate and raise hell. Don't they have some wierd Atkins or WW menu? Why aren't those wierd diets?
  18. I've been known to wear big flared jeans and strap water bottles to them... I'd go the cargo pant's route for food Or if you have a big purse with a liner in it, open up the liner and hide things at the bottom under the liner. Sneaky sneaky...
  19. Sorry you're feeling crappy Did you try your bf's dish after he had already had some? Was there bread anywhere near the plate? Did you use the same fork? How were the crab legs cooked? Was there beer in the steaming liquid? Creme brulee is be safe in most cases, but you always have to check. All creme brulee *should* have in it is cream, sugar...
  20. I have a RSS feed going to my google page for simply recipes and a recipe for White Chocolate Strawberry Mousse came up one day. Mousses, my friends, should be naturally gluten-free Actually, her whole site is great because she marks her recipes wheat free and mentions things like rice pasta. Anyhoo, I made the mousse last night and left out the...
  21. Anyone know the best way to get there from Valley Stream/Elmont in Nassau? I'm trying to get my mom to go I think she's close to the southern state pkwy....
  22. I don't have any advice on where to eat, other than just shellfish steamed in water (make sure there's no beer in the liquid) I love your name! Toxic wheat, love it! I thought it was funny that the scientific name for wheat is "trictum vulgare" it makes wheat sound dirty!
  23. So if you're celiac and hypoglycemic, would it be a good plan to get a bracelet?
  24. Keep in mind that since she isn't gluten-free, her makeup isn't either, especially lip glosses. For example, she eats a big gluteny slice of pizza, and then puts on her blistex and gluten gets into her lip gloss. Just a thought. I had issues with old chapstick after going gluten-free. The canker sore you had was probably an allergic reaction to something...
  25. I don't know why people need to be so rude, but some people probably think they're complimenting you. Being fat is socially unacceptable, shameful, and unattractive (not my opinion, just the society view), but being thin is lucky! Glamorous! Privilaged! It's still effin' rude though, especially when you're sick! Sorry people aren't nice
