  1. ok...anyone know if faygo creme soda is gluten-free? i couldnt come up with anything on google...my dh bought some instead of a&w, and we need to know if he needs to return it. thanx, angie
  2. i remember reading somewhere...not sure where...that sensodyne was not gluten-free...i know it must have gluten cuz i threw mine out. angie
  3. i lived on their tostadas while pregnant i usually added sour cream and tomato too...oh, and the rice is fine too...that comes with cheese and chives on it and all the hot sauces are ok...those are about the only "main" dishes that are ok from what i read...definitely no meat! angie
  4. i know that enfamil lipil doesnt contain gluten...we had to supplement my son with it while we were in the hospital, cuz he was jaundiced and born at 11 lbs 6 oz...so he needed more food than i could give him until my milk came in...i was adamant to the nurses and lactation consultant that if we gave him formula, it HAD to be gluten free! the LC called enfamil...
  5. lexapro is a Godsend for me!!! i ended up with postpartum depreesion after i gave birth a couple of months ago, and went on lexapro and it has been wonderful!!!! good luck!!! angie

  7. anyone know how reliable betty crocker is with labelling? i just picked up some fruit snacks tonight, and they have natural flavors...but no allergens listed...any ideas? thanx, angie
  8. you could try contacting local high school band directors...i know the ones around here either conduct or play in community bands...that would be my suggestion. good luck! i love tenor sax...i usually play tenor or bari and how sweet of you to give away your sax, i did that when i upgraded my flute, i gave away my student level one...it felt good to...
  9. i actually majored in music theory...but i play oboe, flute, sax, some percussion, keyboard...thats what i play still anyways at church...but i can play a little something on almost all instruments i love classical symphonic music!! do you have kids in the suzuki program or do you just enjoy the CDs? what do you play/sing? angie
  10. i live in oregon, wi! i would kill to go horseback riding again! i used to work for a ranch as a guide in delevan while i was in college...i miss riding...i wish i had a horse angie
  11. actually, if you're coming to madison, you should go to u-bake on odana road...its open every day except sunday, and they have tons of great gluten free food! their hamburger and hot dog buns are great! so are their donut holes and pizza!!! their bread is ok...i like whole foods bread a little better, but the stuff at u-bake is thinner, so it toasts nicer...

  13. i have been drinking the ensure plus drinks for the last month...i lost my appetite when i got postpartum depression after i had my son a month ago...so i knew i needed calories to breastfeed...anyways, i just looked on my ensure plus label and read the ingredients, and there is nothing that says oats...so maybe its just the regular ensure? i have had no...
  14. so i am going to be going into the hospital to start labor induction stuff tomorrow (cervical ripening first, then induction on monday if necessary), and i am wondering if i need to be worried about IV meds containing gluten...or just anything oral they give me? anyone know? thanx, angie
  15. i normally get an omelette with veggies/cheese (i'm too scared to try the meats) and hashbrowns...then i ask for fruit instead of the toast/pancakes/muffin and explain that i cant have wheat so there is no extra charge or anything...i've not had a problem yet...i've also had a burger with no bun and fries there too without a problem. angie

  17. my narcolepsy is fairly mild...i dont have the cataplexy...thank God...but i went in for a sleep study to see if i was hitting REM sleep due to what we thought was fibromyalgia at the time (now thinking its celiac instead)...and so the doc did the overnight study, then the nap study...and he said i slept ok for the overnight, but the nap study, i too fell...
  18. i had recurrant tonsillitis after my bout of mono in high school (which we think triggered all my health probs)...and finally made my ENT take them out at 19 yrs old...i was a music major and couldnt play my oboe, and was missing concerts...no good. angie
  19. so lean cuisine meals have allergens listed on the box, and there are quite a few that dont have wheat...i just had the portobello mushroom chicken today...sooooo yummy! it had rice pilaf and chocolate cherries for dessert. its really nice to have some instant meals that i dont react to angie
  20. we bought a toaster oven, and my hubby uses it too for non gluten-free foods...we just put down a layer of foil first...its been wonderful....best investment we ever made honestly. angie
  21. i use the progresso cream of mushroom, but have been looking for a cream of chicken...i'll have to look for the health valley one...is there any other brand thats ok? angie

  23. what i do is get steamed rice and a main dish...for me its chicken with mushrooms/veggies...and then when i get home i put on my own soy sauce...my chinese place is really nice about doing that...i do miss the fried rice though, but as far as i know, fried rice is made in soy sauce, isnt it? angie
  24. i'm one of those people who can now tolerate dairy...i was dairy free for over 8 years, and cheese was the worst for me...we figured that i was dairy intolerant...well once i found out that it was gluten, i went gluten free then slowly added dairy back in...now i eat a lot of it...although i found that i like vanilla soy milk better than plain cow's milk...
  25. my insides looked like yours apparently and my GI was really surprised when my biopsies came back negative...he was positive that they would show celiac...so what we decided was for me to go gluten free and live like it was positive...he said that the biopsies they take are so small, we coulda "missed"...and apparently like 2-5% of celiacs never test positive...
