  1. Yes, I had always thought Alex was the French woman's daughter. I noticed they said that too Richard, that Sawyer wasn't on Jacob's list . What list? Who is Jacob and why does he have a list? I think her boyfriend possibly was the boy in the cages from a few eps ago. And I forgot, creepy, they are on another island! Patti...
  2. Sorry about the kitty I saw a dog get hit by a car a few years ago and it was absolutely devastating. Susan I suspect you found the kitty because you are a kind caring soul who does thinks about the owners and how they are beside themselves with worry about the whereabouts of their cat, or maybe they are unsuspecting, but you are the right person to deliver...
  3. Andrea, I am so sorry to hear the latest news about your dad, that he is worse than originally thought. I hope they can keep him as comfortable as possible. I always like the "hand in glove" analogy for talking to kids about death. I don't remember how it goes word for word, but you put a glove on your hand and that represents the person. You explain...
  4. Hi Sandy, Glad to hear the test went well. Keep us posted on the results, Will continue thinking of you and Matt
  5. OMG, where are my Lost peeps today? What did everyone think of last nights ep?? I LOVED it, thought it was great. Nikki, recap: Ben is still very creepy . Flashback- Kate was on the run from the fed as "Monica", married a cop and had "taco" nights , realized she had to keep running, told her new hubby the truth, drugged him...
  6. Susie Q, I am so sorry today is not a good day. You will definitely be in my thoughts for strength, support, and quick healing That is a mystery. My only thoughts are even if it is something you have eaten and the past and did fine with, companies (I hear) are constantly changing ingredients and sources of ingredients and etc, without warning, and...
  7. I am wondering about soy protein powder to test out soy for you, if you can find a brand that doesn't have a lot of added extra things in it, and then make a smoothie with it- or have you not added fruit back in yet?
  8. Thanks for the laugh of the day rinne! Yeah, none of us around here are serious about getting better. Some people don't understand. She probably means well, just happens to believe in the product she is selling and the people behind it Since she sent you another e-mail so quickly I would venture to guess she will continue with this pattern. So...
  9. I am not aware of any premade stuffings/dressings or mixes, maybe someone else will know on that? As far as making it yourself I have read many accounts of members taking a regular stuffing/dressing recipes and modifying it by substituting gluten-free breads. I know Carla uses the EnerG bread and says it tastes great (hard to believe but she swears...
  10. Forgot to say hi to Chelse, good to see you Oh, and should we send the dingoes out for Mango? Shouldn't she be back from camping by now? I hope the wild dingoes, and other wild things, left her alone Thinking about Evie too
  11. Feral? You, and rinne, use such big words for my little brain. I must go look feral up...and chicanery rinne, I am in agreement to just ignore the sales pitch. Sorry about your MIL too. Some people just get overly involved and have the need to control everything and everybody, possibly without even realizing they are hurting others in the process...
  12. Sandy, Sorry I missed your original post. I wanted to add my thoughts and prayers as well for you and Matt. How did the appt go, it was yesterday if I read correctly? Please keep us posted. Stephanie, love the new picture of Collin Molly, you lucky duck! You are in NY, how fun! Look forward to your updates and have a great...
  13. I got a hand me down rice cooker from my mom, it was old as the hills, but it made the best rice- perfect everytime. I'm not sure what the make or model of it though. I recently got a cuisinart rice maker (the black and stainless steel model) and put the old one in a garage sale . I believe the inside is teflon, and haven't been real pleased with...
  14. Thanks for the cookbook recommendation
  15. Congratulations Jules on your baking success! Everything you made sounds wonderful
  16. Susie Q, what's with the dingos? Do they flock to you, or do you flock to them? He is cute, it is a "he", right? Love the ears . Hope he gets sent to a good home The sugar thing, I don't have it fresh in my mind, but we are only designed to handle like a couple tsp. a day of sugar (I think I read that in my adrenal fatigue literature). That...
  17. Donna A word on sugar, it feeds all the beasties. Pathogens of all sorts, bacterias, viruses, yeasts, molds, fungi, parasites, even cancers. One of my naturopaths had always told me when you eat sugar you are feeding them, and then after they have had a meal on you they deposit their metabolic byproducts in our system, which is pretty toxic stuff...
  18. Hi Fiddle Faddle I don't see why you couldn't use almonds in sub for the pecans. You could probably even omit the nuts altogether. Just add more cookies . I think Laura posted a gluten-free "graham cracker" crust in another thread for a cheesecake. If I am not mistaken it called for 1 1/2 c. cookie crumbs, so that would probably work...
  19. Oh Donna, I was just going to give you another good luck wish that everything went well at the dentist today Guess it will have to wait. I agree with Andrea, it will give you a chance to get the Vit. C going in your system Welcome HawkFire Honestly, I can't remember if I already welcomed you or not , lots of activity in Rachelville and I haven...
  20. Bev, I'm glad your tests ruled out some of those other conditions. I also don't know what a rheumatologist is Thanks rinne and mia mia for your concern I had another angioedema reaction so I have been laying low as I get through it, I'm really tired and worn out from it. But I have tried to read all the posts to keep up with what is going on...
  21. Rachel, sounds like you had a great appt. Look forward to hearing all about it. Speaking of pumpkin pie, I just posted a few recipes I found doing an internet search for dairy free/soy free pumpkin pies. It's very hard to find one free of both offenders. Anyway, there might be something you could work with there Rachel, maybe? I would like for...
  22. I found these on the internet and thought I would share. I haven't tried them to see if they come out ok, but they look pretty good . Gluten Free Maple and Pumpkin Pie This recipe is Vegetarian, Gluten free, Wheat free and Dairy free. Crust 1 heaping tablespoon of icing (confectioners) sugar A pinch of salt 70 g (2 1/2 oz) 1...
  23. Nope Mal, I didn't I have a condition that invovles frequent skin outbreaks and I have been super reactive lately, so a tatto wouldn't be a great idea for now. But I still want one, so hopefully one day I will be able to. Good luck with yours
  24. Welcome Amy Laura- Lots of love to you during your food challenges. I know it wont be easy, but hopefully it will go fast and you will get some helpful information and answers out of it. Donna- Best of luck with your second quadrant amalgam removal tomorrow, hope it goes as smoothly as the first I am also concerned about Evie, hope we hear...
