  1. I have to admit I am hooked. Save the cheerleader, save the world .......who would have thought
  2. Susie, you are very valuable to this thread, never think otherwise. You may not have some of the intolerances but some of our scientificness has helped you figure out some of your mysterious/ troublesome symptoms inspiring you to look into things further like hormones and adrenals, and etc. You have gained and contributed along with the rest of us, so grab...
  3. For those of you that know I am trying to be good and eliminate dairy/casein, move along, nothing to see here! Nothing to see A very unscientific recipe, but I took a 1/2 of a chicken breast that I had already baked (baked with olive oil, garlic, and sea salt) and I shredded it, then added about a tbsp of mayonaise or so, and mixed...
  4. Hi azmom, sorry your son is suffering so much with hive breakouts. Unfortunately, I don't have much info to share. I have struggled with hives and chronic angioedema outbreaks for years now and the source really is a mystery, anything can be the cause, and there are just so many variables. You bring up an excellent question about being allergic to the...
  5. omgosh I totally missed that about it being rinne's b-day...... HAPPY BIRTHDAY RINNE!!!!!!! May the year ahead be a fabulous adventure, and many wishes for better health Aren't we all I don't know what it is, but I have been really bad lately with my diet, can't get on track to save my life...... 6. Great link Mango! I would have to go with rice (all varieties), potatoes (all varieties) and other root vegetables, beans and lentils, nuts and nut butters (check labels of course), seeds, all fruits and vegetables, avocadoes, chicken, turkey, and beef.
  7. I don't know if the Hiltons would appreciate our Auxigro protesctive geese, purple glittery pest control bats, multi-tasking rescue/sled dog Dingoes, and herd of organic cows
  8. Thanks Autumn for this suggestion, sounds really good Mango, so goofey! I wish I knew how to make a nut crust. I think you can just pat a mixture of ground nuts and butter in the bottom of a pan?? Maybe we will get lucky and a "baker" will see our posts and come to our rescue
  9. Just a suggestion: If you have a Wild Oats store near you, in the bulk department they have these *free* little booklets you can take home with you that give instructions, preparation tips, and a few recipes for items sold in the bulk department- including whole grains (like all the different varieties of rice, millet, amaranth, quinoa, etc.) and beans...
  10. Sounds good, I am copying the recipe! Thanks for sharing
  11. What an excellent tip Richard I will have to keep this in mind next time I bake cookies, the last time they flattened way out and were really crisp, I bet the chilling will help.
  12. Thanks wolfie for sharing this recipe, they sound yummy. Perfect for Halloween or Thanksgiving
  13. I get this too, and many times throughout the year. Doesn't seem to matter what it is I am eating, not eating. Haven't had it checked out, so nothing to add there. Interesting though that a handful of us have this symptom.
  14. Hi Molly, thanks for letting us know. Hope all is well with you and don't be a stranger!!! Looks lovely Bev, is this the area you went for your Anniversary weekend? I've never been to that part of the country, never been to many parts of the country but I would love to visit.
  15. Nikki, you bad girl! You couldn't resist taking a peek in this thread, now you probably wont be able to stay out of it That's terrible they keep you waiting so long. So far this season has been very interesting and as CREEPY as ever.
  16. Darn, I missed it! Always love to read your rambling Susie Q Donna, I think it's completely understandable that you are stressing over your mercury removal. Dental work is traumatic, imo. Just take deep breaths, focus on one quadrant at a time, and it will be over before you know it. Hang in there edit* I am no longer chunky and...
  17. Laura, wow, what a trying day for you. Glad you made it through it all I'll keep my fingers crossed that your test results will yield some answers for you, followed by a plan of attack to get better. Thanks all who weighed in on the allergy testing. I think I pretty much knew deep down what my decision was going to be, but it was nice to bounce...
  18. I guess I still consider myself a newbie because I don't think I have been here all that long. I just remember when I did stumble on to this board, which I didn't even know existed, it was like a godsend! There were a handful of people, who probably don't even realize, that answered my posts like Jenvan, Rusla, Jerseyangel (Patti ) Ursula, Rachel, tarnalbery...

  21. Best of luck with your appt today Laura. I'm so happy you are feeling very hopeful, feeling hopeful for you! You will be in my thoughts . Eosinophilic disorders? What is that exactly? Must look it up......... Anybody have any opinions as to if getting allergy testing is a good idea for me or a waste? I'm not sure finding out will be beneficial...
  22. This is kinda related, but really unrelated I get Self magazine and Evangaline Lily is on the cover this month with a feature article inside, she wasn't going to come back after season 1 She was so unhappy with the instant fame and having to look a certain way, be a certain size, the press turning her into an image she wasn't/didn't want to be...
  23. Looks like a case of the poster trying to start an argument or debate.
