  1. Yep, I sure did Andrea. OMG you guys, I just found this: "Though most of the chlorine industry has switched to mercury free technology a few remaining chlor-alkali plants use a century old method of producing chlorine by pumping salt water through mercury cells." I have tried that on more than one occaision...
  2. Rachel I'm glad you are having a little better of a day. Onward and upward, that should be a new motto GBB= Gas Bomb Bloat (as coined by her expertness on wordage Susie Q ) Yeah, I used to be swimming, completely submerged, in all the scientificness of mercury toxicity, sadly a lot of it has exited my brain Maybe it's the chunky chocolatey...
  3. Well not so fast, do you have amalgams in your mouth Andrea? We were pretty sure that was part of the reason my mercury issues were so bad, my mom has/had a mouth full of metal. She worked for a dentist growing up and he would practice on her, drilling and filling, drilling and filling Mercury studies that I have read indicate high concentrations...
  4. So sorry you had such a terrible experience . Some doctors, although they may be "specialists" in their field, just don't have a very good bedside manner. I have had my fair share of these, and it isn't worth it to stay with them, imo. I think their should be a partenership between patient and doctor, and it definitely sounds like you didn't have...
  5. Many people on this board, including me, report having the same symptoms of a glutening when eating other foods they are intolerant to- so that could be a possibility. I don't know anything about DH, so I'm not sure if it can appear with other food intolerances, outside of gluten? Since you reacted twice to the bread, I would stay clear of it. ...
  6. No kidding I feel nice and protected in Rachelville, we have the Dingo Dogs, Super Girl Susie with the Iroquois Skull Crusher, Carla and her unloaded shotgun just making the sound (that will put the scare in em) , Richard and his bat, Donna's on pest control.....
  7. That was so much fun!!! Thanks for sharing the link.
  8. I'm glad to see I am not the only one! They sure are out there though with the gore, which threw me a little at first. I hope they air back episodes again, like they did this week, because I missed so much the first time through. Lots of little things to pick up on. I love "Hiro", he's such a cutie.
  9. Andrea my friend, so sorry to hear about your dad. I'm glad you finally got to talk to him after trying to reach him all week. That dialysis is so hard on the body, and I imagine his spirit as well. I just hope that he has good care and he is made as comfortable as possible through all of this. You and he will be in my thoughts Rachel, I am...
  10. This is my typical Thanksgiving menu: I used to get a fresh turkey at the health food store (Shelton's, I believe is one of the brands they carry) but the last couple of years I have been getting turkey tenderloins from the Wild Oats butcher and I rub them with a paste made of fresh herbs (tarragon, basil, thyme, marjoram, oregano), garlic, sea salt, and...
  11. Susie, you kill me How happy and reassured I am to know I have a friend with an Iriquois Skull Crusher who will come to the rescue at all hours in the night It must take a lot to get you scared I know what you mean about the news programs, they do put a lot of ideas into impressionable minds. The one I just watched was heinous... Richard,...
  12. Patti, great news! I am so glad you are feeling "good" and have been able to break from your normal restricted diet to try a few different things, and best yet, that it is sitting well with you Everything sounds so yummy that you made . I hope you enjoy every last bite!
  13. Nikki I don't know what it was about the Nightmare on Elm Street movies, but they didn't bother me so much. Maybe it was because I watched them all back to back with a big group of us together, with our boyfriends, and with the lights on And everyone in the room would announce what was coming so I guess it took the suspense out of it..... There...
  14. Happy Birthday Lisa
  15. Are we talking about scary movies? I can't deal with them they creep me out . I saw Texas Chainsaw Masacre when I was like 8 and I was traumatized for life. I know TCM isn't on the list of top scary movies, but it was to me. Couldn't sleep for months......
  16. Carla, I was just going to ask if you were feeling any better because you hadn't posted, I am so sorry that not much has changed for you and you are still experiencing the d While I agree with Patti and Andrea, that the supplements (or diet) could be a factor, I still think the infrared sauna has a very powerful effect on the body and the detox process...
  17. It's different, but it sounds like there are some of the same principles. My experiences with NAET went like this: I am trying to remember it all but some of it is fuzzy............it definitely invovlved the substances in glass vials, and you do one allergy at a time, usually starting out with the basic components of foods, like for example calcium...
  18. 21. Rachel Did you read up on it at one of the BioSet links? This one gave a little scientificness behind the modality: Open Original Shared Link
  22. Noooo, the cheese was bad, very bad, a lapse in judgement on my part. But pretty much all week it has been one bad food choice after another for me Acupuncture is all about balancing Qi, or energy, flowing through the body. According to chinese medicine, illness sets in when Qi is blocked, or deficient, or excessive. There are all these meridians...
  23. Hey!!!!!!!! I am trying Mango , Dairy/casein free is new to me and I fell off the wagon alittle bit, but I'll get back on and be the dairy/casein free queen like you Cheese just calls out to me, really loudly...... I don't know how to describe gouda, I'm not exactly a cheese expert......um, it's really good , sharp, I think? And smoked gouda, to...

  25. That was a driveby Donna? I am so glad you had such a good experience with your first amalgam removal, if "good" and "amalgam removal" can be used in the same sentence ....It sounds like your dentist, and the technicians/assistants, were really good to you, taking all the precautions with the removal process, and the set up of the office sounds...
