    I haven't used ghee a lot, but I got this cook book a few years back and many of the recipes used ghee so I tried it out.     Just to add to this, from what I researched it's also important to eat small amounts of grains (when, or even if, you are going to eat them) and never overeat them. I am fine with 1/2 cup of brown rice for example, but if I eat more than that at a time I get symptoms. There are many schools of thought as to what you can/can't eat on these diets...
