ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
AndreaB replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Ok....totally off topic. I think I found out what M is intolerant too. He calls it I'm tired. I call it "I don't like it" intolerance. Now let me tell you.....this is very serious......it's seemed to affect most of his diet. -
ARCHIVED Autism- New Study And A Few Questions
AndreaB replied to a topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
This is something I'm curious about. I've been learning more about vaccines. My oldest had all of them, my next has had all but the 4-6 year doses (which he won't have) and my youngest everthing to 2 months. He's the one that broke out with eczema. I had alot of dental work done before I knew I was pregnant and a root canal my 3rd trimester. Of all my... -

ARCHIVED Enterolab Results - ?
AndreaB replied to Blue-Skye's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
How long has he been on the SCD? If he had been gluten free for a while it probably would have meant he would have been just positive before hand. Soy seems to be more of a problem and can also cause intestinal damage. As Ursa said, go soy and gluten free. Challenge gluten after 6 months or longer, if you'd like. Should give him time to heal... -
ARCHIVED Can Someone Comment On My Enterlab Results
AndreaB replied to buzz's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
As Ursa said you are intolerant to casein. You will need to remove it from your diet. Some people challenge it again after some time (6 months-1 year). Enterolab has said that the tests they run are for life. If you can accept that, great! If not, challenge it after a year. -

Interesting Donna. Does it sound like she's saying the mold had something to do with the fibroids? Yay for no bug bites this week. -
Blue-Skye, The enterolab tests don't test for immediate reaction allergies. As far as I know their test is similar to delayed reaction allergies (or intolerances). The gluten and soy could cause intestinal damage, joint pain. Don't remember if soy can cause neurological problems or not. I've posted a couple different articles on soy in this category...

More good advice...the whole thing (just didn't want to copy it all). I'll try and start logging everything the we have to eat and see if we can develop a pattern from that. I have been stressed out about finance and I'd rather wait if things don't get worse. Thanks guys for helping me to think rationally. Much easier with someone else... -
ARCHIVED New Frozen Dessert!
AndreaB posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
My husband discovered a new frozen treat yesterday and brought some home. It's Coconut Bliss. We loved it. We had the dark chocolate. I just bought the vanilla and the coconut ones. We avoid lecithin also so won't be trying the ones with that in it. They have some different flavors and use coconut milk for the base. Check out their website and... -

I hope nothing happens to overload you with the increase either. Doesn't surprise me that you sped up the process. It'd be kinda hard to take things slow when you want to get better yesterday. Lack of motivation.......can we blame children's lack of motivation on getting anything done on mercury. Your mom.... Ok, off to read your... -
ARCHIVED Scientists Making Fibers (fabric) Out Of Wheat Gluten
AndreaB replied to Nantzie's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
This whole thing is an eye opener for me.....soy, casein, gluten. Hopefully this won't go anywhere. They need to have truth in labeling for clothes now too. -

That sounds interesting. I'll be curious as to what else comes out with Dr. Fine's research.....and any others who may be doing this type of research. -

Now I'm wondering if we should wait for the floor to drop out from underneath you. What did bioset say you could take? Didn't your doctor say no more than 2 drops a day? -

ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
AndreaB replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
This could be the case in some cases. Don't think so with the nuts though as she loved almond butter and mac and cashew cheese was her favorite meal. We also don't give her chocolate anymore when we have it because she didn't do well with it. Now if she starts developing a problem with all the healthy foods, I'll start questioning. She had tested intolerant... -

Laura, So sorry you're feeling crummy and not knowing which issue it's dealing with....herx, sick etc. Hanging out on the couch, under a blanket, with hubby doesn't sound too bad though. What's hubby time? -
ARCHIVED Casein Intolerance
AndreaB replied to sfm's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
There are alot of opinions on whether enterolab's results are really forever as they state, or temporary. There is one poster that I'm aware of that can eat dairy now with no known problems. I would definately give yourself 6 months to 1 year to heal if you have leaky gut and then try again. If you don't have leaky gut you could try sooner. You... -

That's fantastic!!!! I'm glad your workplace is so understanding. That must make things a lot easier for you. Hm, well this looks green and I've only seen it in a couple spots. I had washed on spot and it hasn't come back. The thing is we don't feel sick. It's just intolerances seem to be growing. Maybe it's something totally different... -
Elizabeth, I wasn't on a gluten free diet during my pregnancies so I can't be of much help. Have you tried Tinkyada pasta? I found myself craving more protein my last pregnancy. Some people have morning sickness for longer in their pregnancy. Can you stomach peanut butter or other nut butters? What about gluten-free bread? Perky o's have added...

ARCHIVED Igg Food Antibody Assessment Questions
AndreaB replied to bklyn's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
My doctor told me to eliminate everything I tested positive for (but I could leave in the ones below the midpoint low) for two weeks and then add back in one food at a time every 4-7 days. You need to give yourself time to recover from a reaction should you have one, which can take up to 3 days. You also need to consider that you may be ok at first and... -

Rinne, Glad to hear your brother is doing better with the gluten free diet and that he doesn't appear to have any other problems from celiac.
