ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
AndreaB replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Thanks guys. My mom brought down potatoes that were on there last days. I threw them out. Even after peeling down through the obvious green they still seemed to have a green tinge. We don't have any problems with potatoes and don't want to develop any. I had read here that the green was toxic, just forgot why. Rachel, Once you... -

Can you guys remind me why green potatoes are bad for you? I forget what the green was. I want to say chlorophyl (sp?) . -

Tiffany, Dr. Blaylock's book Excitotoxins goes into msg among other things. Also Dr. Schwartz (sp?) was the first to write a book about msg. Maybe you could go to the library and check them out. -

Hm, I didn't mention mono and don't remember that post either. Laura, Thanks for the update. I'm glad you found a doctor that you like. That is sooooo important. Keep us posted as you can about how things are going with the flagyl and further treatments. Would I be correct in assuming that your intolerances could stem from L? I just... -

Donna, YOUCH! I wouldn't want to have anything to do with a filling being redone without numbing! Yah, you're almost done with it. That's so exciting. I talked to my doctor about that testing I mentioned. Already forgot the name of it but it's thermal something. It detects cancer 5-7 years early I think he said. Carla, Thanks... -

Rachel, Now you've got my motherly henliness going. Is there any way you can cut back a bit so you're not so spaced out. I'd really like to have a safe and sound friend.....not one in an accident. How long were you on the candida diet last time? Was it a combo of the foods you were eating and the nystatin that was so bad? Is there... -

I'm glad you posted Rachel. I was beginning to wonder if you didn't do well with your bioset yesterday. -
We were diagnosed June 06 through enterolab. I voted for me.......39 at diagnosis......40 now. Children at the time of testing were 6 1/2 and 3 3/4. Youngest hasn't been tested but gluten's a problem with him. His reaction started at 2 1/2 months.

ARCHIVED The Most Delicious Home-made Gluten Free Bread I've Ever Tasted...
AndreaB replied to mamatide's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
I figured out why my last two batches of bread fell. I use Annalise Roberts flour blend which has the starches in it. The first time I made the bread I made it right......the last two batches I added the starches as listed so I actually had more starches than necessary. I did it right this time (again). Bread didn't fall. I also didn't use flax... -

Bree, I was just thinking about emailing you this last week. Just hadn't gotten it done yet. I'm so glad she's doing better and you've got some answers. Despite all the appointments I'm sure that is a relief. Andrea -

I've only used water. The first time I used Annalise Roberts bread flour mix along with her muffin mix (for the extra 1/4 cup, instead of garfava). I wonder if that weighed it down enough to keep it from rising and falling so much. I don't think I let it rise the whole 80 minutes either. I may have used all bread flour mix. The last two times I've... -
Sounds like you had a great time Molly. Vizquel was always my favorite.....from 15-20 years ago. More like when he was around his early 20's, playing for the Mariners up here.

Rachel, I think it's a good idea to give up the ice cream. I know your weight concern is a valid one though. What about more potatoes and beef? Can you make mashed potatoes? I just mash them with the water they are cooked in and add some olive oil, coconut oil and salt. I don't think you can have those other ingredients though can you. You could... -

That's what I like. I was going to suggest something like that. When the gluten-free diet isn't enough, a place to discuss all other possibilities. Patti, you better not move on or I'll have to too. This is practically the only place I'm on anymore. I agree, as far as I know Scott is the only one who can change the title. Rachel (or anyone... -

Donna, I don't know a lot about mercury and disease but my doctor did mention some kind of machine that was being tested/used to detect early or pre breast cancer. In women in California that underwent the test the ones who came up with a "hot" spot in a breast had corresponding amalgams (maybe root canals too) and the same side. So mercury/root canals... -

Very interesting. Can't wait for your update. Yep, this is a safe thread. I'm primarily here as I've cut my time drastically on this board.
