  1. Gives you more time to take the stuff the doctor gave you and start on Vit C after your stool test.
  2. Donna, When we had testing done they referred to subtype 7 as gluten sensitive. So what is the difference between the dq and the subtype. Is subtype important aside from subtype 8? Isn't that the same as dq8?
  3. Me and my daughter have one of each. Me dq 2 and dq 3, my daughter has two dq 3 but one is subtype 8. Husband and oldest son have 2 celiac genes. Husband dq 2 and dq 3 subtype 8, son double dq 2. Haven't had the baby gene tested yet. My husband does not have an active sensitivity despite having 2 celiac genes. He is gluten free with the rest of...
  4. Laura, Good to hear your challenge hasn't been bad. I hope you didn't swallow the filling. I would think you'd need to get it refilled. You would need to have them run tests (I don't remember what they are called) for compatibility with composite materials before they fill. Some people do have problems with them. Congratulations on being...
  5. Keep us posted on how your doing with the removal please. Don't you have another appointment today? I wanted a horse since I was 5. Parents got breyers. Had tons of them, bought a lot with my own money. They gave in and got a horse for me when I was almost 16. First horse got taken back by the girl who owned him (he was sold to us without her...
  6. If it would have been cats it would have been different. I'm sorry for you and him but it needed to be done. I would be surprised if they didn't try to place him. I've seen lots of pets that need to be single pets, etc.
  7. I'm hoping you're feeling better Julie. I wonder about a lot of things being connected. I wouldn't be surprised if angioedema and lyme are. I don't think much will surprise me anymore (but don't hold me to that ). Seems like a lot of things are interconnected.
  8. Thanks Chelsea. This sounds good.
  9. Bev, I agree with Rachel. Get the igenix testing!
  10. Phew! My head is spinning. Sounds like a very productive appointment. So are you going to take the enzyme? Sounds like a good idea to see this visiting Dr. If I'm doing my calculating correctly, you were bit around 1 year before you quit smoking..... Yea for the ice cream! Enjoy some for me......I do miss it. Did I forget...
  11. You have a gluten sensitivity which means gluten free for life. You also have an autoimmune response going on, but don't have malabsorption. Tinkyada rice pasta is very good and there a lots of other subs out there depending on if you have any other intolerances.
  12. Beverly, Glad you got some things ruled out. I'm still highly suspicious of lyme for you. Can't believe he didn't use igenix.
  13. Sounds good Julie. I've got them copied over.
  14. I have actually blended vanilla ice cream with pumpkin puree before....not bad but you don't need much of the pumpkin.
  15. I usually just blend up my own cashew or almond milk. It's the butter.....I'd probably use the spectrum shortening, otherwise coconut oil.
  16. I miss gfp's posts as well. Hope his sabbatical won't be too terribly long.
  17. Mmmmmmmm, my mouth is watering. Will have to try this dairy free. I know it would taste nearly as good, but....
  18. I just though I'd update everyone a little. I emailed Bree about Kylie and she was kind enough to respond quickly. She's been very busy so just in case she doesn't get on here in the next week..... Kylie has her surgery on the 14th for her ear tubes. If everyone can keep her in their thoughts and prayers, I'm sure it would be appreciated...
  19. Yae! That was like 30 pages a day. Totally time consuming..... Me too. I don't think I'd get tired of beef but everything else.....ok, maybe I'd horde the ice cream too......ok, so I WOULD.....if I didn't have much to choose from and my allergies didn't get worse.
  20. You're making me tired already. I'll be in the air Thanksgiving evening. We will be having ours the week before or after. Haven't decided yet. You don't want to leave this thread for more than a day or you'll be lost.
  21. Laura, If I could be there in five minutes I would be. That's sounds like a wonderful spread....even with the dairy. That is so nice of your friends to send you roses! Hoping your challenge goes well and you don't get real sick. Haven't heard from Evie so I assume she's in the hospital.
  22. How did I get brocolli out of popcorn I would think the weight would start to come off, just don't know how much. I thought it was dq1 that was associated with neurological symptoms. Maybe dq2 is also, but I don't know.
