ARCHIVED Mouse, Candiankaren, Mtndog I Need Your Help
AndreaB replied to theprincess's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
The waiting is the hard part. Try to enjoy choir practice and try again tomorrow if you don't hear back. I called to find out my b12 numbers at least a couple weeks ago. Haven't heard back. I had gotten something in the mail that they were normal....just wanted numbers since so many have posted about that on here. -

He's still there. I copied over Dave's pups too.....still waiting for an update. I used to have some people get afraid when I called there pets mine. I've always done that. If I was talking to Allo I'd say something like "How's my kitty today?". I know they aren't mine but I love animals and have always referred to them in the posessive. Can't have... -

Welcome Ashley, I don't have anything to add really, just wanted to say HI! I think others have posted about getting their biopsy results in a weeks time. I've been wondering where your mom went....now I know. Tell her we miss her. -

Carla, It seems I remember you posted about having good (up) and bad (down) cycles while getting back up to par with the adrenals. I don't know about your stomache bothering you when you eat though. Have you seen the doctor recently that is helping you through this? -

Thanks for the update Dave. We appreciate it. If you were still in charge of her store I'd ask you to let her off on Friday, not that she wants off, I just think she needs off after this week's cleaning at the store. -

Sorry about all the work stuff Rachel. That certainly doesn't help. Can you take Friday off and rest up a bit, especially with them chemicaling (new word?) you to no end this week. Get some rest after work and we'll look for you and/or Dave to post when you can. Sounds like a positive experience despite all since the lady is familiar with so much... -
Susan, Positivitey will get you everywhere. Please don't put yourself down. Anyone worth their weight will appreciate you and be attracted to you because of who you are, not what you aren't in your own eyes.

Ann, Please let us know what your results are from Enterolab when you get them. Also, if you want to come down to see my doctor in Vancouver let me know. He's a MD that has branched out into intolerances and mercury toxicity. He would probably be considered midline since he's between mainline and holistic practices. He and his wife are looking to... -

Not creative at all. I have been eating some of the veggies on my low list as well as canteloupe and watermelon. We just got the rest of the family's tests results yesterday. Now I've got to go through the food groups. Doctor gave me a booklet with those too. Must get to the store sometime today or tomorrow. Donna, Your situation sounds suspiciously... -

I'll give it a go. Some of them were just over the line from no reaction. The only thing I tested IgE allergic to was dairy, which was low. I quite on dairy again because of that though. Didn't have the IgE done on the kids as I was trying to shave some money. -

Wild Oats sell the regular alcohol free vanilla for $9.99 last I knew. I stocked up on it when it dropped to that price. Was $14.99 before that. It has been $9.99 for 6 monthe to a year. -
ARCHIVED Eating Gluten Free On A Small Budget
AndreaB replied to SarahTorg's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I hear you. Our food buget is through the roof.....what budget? If we cut out all the gluten free treats we've been buying we should be able to come a little bit closer to budget. Try to stick to naturally gluten free stuff. Once you get your staples down for baking, things should level off a bit. -

Great pic Susan! Night everyone. I just came on to see what the posts were. There are still lots of choices. Just makes recipes a little more challenging. Lots of food still available though. I haven't started looking for things yet. Remember, we were vegan so I can work with the eggs in baking using ener-g egg replacer. Talitha... -

Laura, My doctor told us to go off of all foods that tested moderate and high. The low, he recommends eliminating what is comfortable in the lows but suggests elminating anthing above the midpoint. We were vegan for the last 3 years and for 5-6 years before that were either lacto-ovo, or ovo vegetarian. Both Mitch and I were raised meat eaters... -
They need to be pinned by a moderator before they come to the front on the category you posted under. I did see one for enterolab that has been pinned.

Donna, That's great that you feel comfortable with the new doctor. about him knowing who Rachel was. Laura, Your job sounds like it's going well. So good to know that your mom is able to be there to help you. Susan, I read your story. Bev, If you get a puppy/dog I want pictures. I "adopt" everyone's pets... -
ARCHIVED Help! Confused By Results
AndreaB replied to rez's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
My infant son broke out in eczema a little after 2 months. I talked to a friend who recommended a doctor in our area. I'm in SW Washington. Allergy testing led to enterolab testing. My doctor uses US Biotek. Don't know whether they test individuals. Their website is Open Original Shared Link if you want to check them out. -

You don't have to be eating gluten to be tested through enterolab. Need to test within the year though. I'm not familiar with IgA for allergy test....I had the IgE/IgG testing done where the IgE was the allergy and the IgG was the intolerance. The full gluten package which includes malabsorption, ttg, gene and IgA (also possibly still dairy) is $369... -

They say their test can pick up the antibodies for up to a year I think. It would probably depend on how much damage there was to begin with and how high numbers would have been. You've had dairy and lecithin lately (don't know if lecithin would register though). Have you had eggs? How long have you been gluten-free? Have you had cc issues with... -

Julie, The whole shebang gluten full for $369 includes malabsorption, IgA antibodies, ttg, genes and inlcuded Dairy when I got it (might still). The soy, egg, yeast are an additional $199. Well worth it if you can swing it. If you don't want to do the gluten option you can search around and put together what tests will suit you. They have different... -

Yep, Donna does and I get T, M and M's allergy/intolerance test results back today. Who knows when, I'm waiting for a call from a delivery I'm expecting, some frozen food that will be mush if I have to catch him on his way back down this way this weekend. The driver is not usually up here too early. At least the doctor is totally flexible.
