  1. Kathy Ann, We were tested through enterolab and myself and two oldest children tested postive. My husband has 2 celiac genes though. My infant son is who led us down this trail due to his eczema outbreak around 2 months of age. He is completely clear since going gluten free. I feed him oatmeal cereal at 8 months and he was crabby the whole week so...
  2. Freeda vitamins are safe as well as dove shampoo. I'm not sure if all dove products are ok, so look at the labels. Freeda is sold online at www.veganessentials.com (I think it's .com) They may be sold elsewhere. I know the gluten free store in Vancouver WA sells some but don't know where you live.
  3. That's great Rachel! Both of you (you and Donna) keep us posted as to how things are going. Donna, I should find out about the families allergy test results sometime around the 18th also (I hope anyway).
  4. I don't remember if our Wild Oats has it or not. Loganberries, the Gluten Free Store carries frozen kinnikinick stuff though.
  5. So what do you like better......orange or green? I'm sorry, good thing you'll be able to get it taken care of tomorrow.
  6. Courtney, Sorry, I hadn't seen this this morning either. I usually look for enterolab result postings. Carla has already answered everything, just wanted to add that those numbers mean gluten and dairy free for life.
  7. Donna, Keep us posted on your dental situation. I'm concerned about you having gold crowns too.
  8. Nikki, how long does it take to fly over from Europe/England? Susan may need some help. Susan, you are a very brave soul to do this.
  9. Rachel, Hang in there. We'll do what we can to help this week go by quickly for you.
  10. Alice, Thank you for posting about your doctors visit. I will be waiting for your results. I would like to second the suggestion to get the gene testing through enterolab so you know what you have.
  11. Meredith, I'm still here. I have to take a break in the evenings to get Seth down (I read a book while he goes to sleep, works for me ), and hubby does like a smidgen of time on the computer.
  12. Kathy Ann, Those are great!
  13. I may just have to look at those. I assume they are gluten-free/SF/CF since you are. I've been avoiding peanut butter even though I don't have a problem with it, since I'm intolerant to soy.
  14. From what I've gathered on this forum, gluten sensitivity is on the spectrum of celiac. I'll be curious to read Dr. Fine's stuff when he publishes. He may go into more detail. Could it be that the gluten sensitive genes are genes that he's learned cause problems and are actually celiac genes? Has or does anyone else test for the gluten sensitive genes...
  15. Meredith, I've never had clif bars. I just changed my avatar back to one of my other loves.
  16. Oooohhhh, My mom is thinking of joining again. I might just have to have her buy some. Not worth it for me to join.
  17. They obviously hadn't met too many celiacs.
  18. I don't have anything to add........
  19. I can relate to that.
  20. There are very few lessons that are graded but I do go over all her work and mark what she gets wrong if anything. Seems like first grade they just graded with satisfactory, improving, unsatisfactory or whatever. For those of you with kids in school when do they switch to letter grades?
  21. I just realized I didn't post that link. Open Original Shared Link It seems a lot of allergies are environmental. But could there be anything else like mercury toxicity (if you have amalgams). Just wondering, doesn't mean there is actually any other cause. My intolerances my doctor thinks is linked to my amalgams.
  22. Carla, I liked Cutting Edge too, back in my movie watching days. I have a sassafras daughter on my hands now. She thinks she should be able to correct her work before I grade it. Keep in mind she doesn't miss anything very often. She doesn't like making mistakes and it makes our days very challenging.
  23. You could use plain coconut oil for butter or I have a recipe in the link I'll post below. I buy spectrum (I think that's it) canola mayonnaise. It's pretty good if you don't want to make your own. If you aren't ok with eggs then I have nut mayonnaise recipes. I you don't do well with soy, I would definately leave it out. I'll try to keep in mind...
  24. My children tested at 9 with soy through enterolab. I just had allergy testing done for them. Should find out about that in a couple weeks. It was IgG testing, so I should say intolerance testing. I have the whole family soy free since my husband and I tested over 10 with enterolab. I tested moderately intolerant (IgG) through the ELISA test. I would...
  25. I thought that was amusing too.
