  1. I see you Molly. Are you learning about what life may be like 20-30 years ahead.
  2. I had a lot of arsenic in my hair sample. If your mercury was on the low end it really shouldn't be a problem, especially if you've taken care of the main source.
  3. Rachel, I don't have toxicity (maybe I should say yet), but I know I have mercury in my body since I have amalgams. My hair analysis showed low mercury. I would like to know the foods. You could paraphrase things you wanted to share. If you just type out a couple paragraphs and quote the source of information that should be ok.
  4. Kids "washed" the cars (kinda) with a little loupha (how do you spell that?) and a finger nail brush. Mitch is not a very happy camper right now. I told him that they were just trying to help and to be thankful....I haven't seen the cars yet, but I don't think those would have scratched the paint. I hope not.
  5. Celia so glad to "see" you. I didn't like it when you were "invisible".
  6. I don't mind starting them, but some names just draw more attention.
  7. I don't know about york. My allergy/intolerant doctor uses US Biotek for the ELISA test.
  8. Well said as usual Rachel. I don't believe anyone in my family has lyme, but I do like learning about things and keep them in mind for others I may run into in my lifetime. I'm glad Tailz got the diagnosis so she can continue forward in the healing process.
  9. The doctor I see for allergy/intolerance testing uses US Biotek. They test IgE and IgG.
  10. Thanks for posting that Jennifer. I figured he did some testing to come up with the numbers. I'm looking forward to him publishing his work.
  11. I wanted to pipe up about enterolab. I had my family tested through them. We did the gluten panel which included dairy, soy, egg and yeast. That's all they offered in May. They are working on getting testing up for more intolerances. Soy can cause the same damage in people as gluten. My husband and I are intolerant through enterolab, my children...
  12. Good morning everyone! Have fun Rachel......not. I certainly wouldn't have fun. I have a yard full of weeds. You ever notice how grass grows where you don't want it and weeds grow everywhere else? Patti, the avatar was of a bag of nuggets. Trying to get Rachel to tell me what ice cream she its. She's not divulging it. Miamia, be careful...
  13. From what I've read on this forum, the tax deduction is only for the cost over what the cost of gluten food would be. I've also read that that could be a flag for an audit. I'm assuming you would have to have a certain amount (like medical expense deduction) before they would allow the deduction.
  14. If you decide to do a challenge to be tested it would have to be for a minimum of three months and eating the equivalent of 3-4 slices of bread a day. Penguin on this forum did a gluten challenge recently and now is allergic to wheat on top of being intolerant. She breaks out in hives if any gluten touches her. There is a website another user posted...
  15. Sorry, I should have known by your screen name. If you have an intolerance to wheat/gluten than it is best to stay away from it. You can do damage if something has triggered the celiac/gluten sensitivity. If it hasn't progressed to that point then realistically, you could leave off of gluten for about 6 months and add it back is small quantities to see...
  16. Tailz is posting over in the DailyStrength forum. I saw her post yesterday over there. I still don't believe that celiac is really undiagnosed lyme, but I do believe like celiac that it is underdiagosed and if the gluten free diet doesn't resolve symptoms and those symptoms are similar to lyme that a person would be better off to test for it. OK, did...
  17. What would I do without my bestest friends that I've met here. Rachel, thanks for being you.
  18. I told Mitch you wouldn't. Thanks Rachel, I bookmarked it for later perusal.
  19. Susan, We'll change it back. Mitch thought you'd have fun with that. Dave has those adorable puppies up now though. I demand a picture update! Before they are full grown!
  20. What kind of ice cream do you eat Rachel?
  21. Susan, The new avatar is for you.....temporarily. I'll be back. Gotta reboot the computer, it's going schizoid on me. It's all the nugget's fault! It opens a new window everytime I click on something.
  22. Ummmm, straight sugar probably wouldn't be so good. How 'bout a bag of nuggets, chocolate chips, bumble bars, or container of ice cream. Those seems to be the vices on this thread.
  23. Sounds like the stress of waiting for your results were getting to you. Did the ice cream fix that? It always tastes so good when we indulge.....just doens't make our tummies feel very good. Seems like a lot of us have been not feeling good, down, stressed, lately.
  24. Aahhhhhhhhhhh, Heating pads....they work wonders don't they?
