  1. Tom, I forgot to mention. I've bookmarked that site and will go over it with hubby. We don't like accessing things that use Java so I don't know that we'll do it. Seems like I've read or heard bad things about java before but I don't remember now.
  2. Bagel? That wasn't a gluten bagel???? was it???? Frito's make me sick if I have too many. I don't eat them anymore......sure love them though. I'll be waiting to hear whether his head goes towards his desk again at this next appointment.
  3. I've got Word reader.
  4. I'll be waiting for an update on this. Don't let your puppy visitor make a lot of trouble. Laura, Sorry you're having a rough week. We're here whenever you need us. Glad you were able to quit the med that was causing a bad reaction with you. Hope this herx is a quick one.
  5. You're making me tired and I just got up. I don't know how you do so much when you don't feel well. You're amazing! Glad the doctor will try and get you in earlier and that you got a chance to talk to him. Also glad the other appointments are going well. I'll be looking for an update when you're able. Very true. We've all developed...
  6. I can just imagine the mess.
  7. I would be too. I don't remember when you said you had that done, but when I had my root canal done almost 2 years ago it bothered me for over a year. I plan on having it pulled next year as I've read too many bad things about root canals and the toxins they emit into the body. If you can I'd highly recommend a holistic dentist. The one...
  8. I refuse to use hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils. I do use Spectrum Vegetable Shortening.....that's non hydrogenated. Of course, I only use it to grease my bread pans. I did use it to make frosting at one point and to substitute eggs in a cake. Didn't turn out real well in my mind. It left a real heavy feeling in our stomachs. I've found...
  9. That's why we love it here so much. Two weeks already! Glad to hear the plaquenil is going good. I've missed you, been wondering where you were.
  10. Go off the soy. If you want, challenge it again in 6 months or so. Make sure you keep a very detailed food journal so when you add it back in you can note whether there is any type of reaction. Keep in mind reaction can be delayed by up to 3 days.
  11. Sandi, Your score for reacting to gluten is at the bottom of the reference range but from what you've said you definately need to go gluten free. I think ttg has to do with autoimmune reactions so the fact that you are below the reference for that is good. Your fecal fat is alarmingly high and I highly suggest further testing. Your best bet would...
  12. Enterolab does state that if you test positive by there test standards that it is for life. In most cases this is probably true. If you don't have underlying health issues and symptoms etc clear up then stay gluten-free/cf. I know there are some who have challenged the dairy and do ok with it. There are other underlying health issues though, such...
  13. I'm glad you didn't suffer any ill consequences for your indulgence. That chocolate is addicting I tell ya!
  14. I just got the mile long questionairre from Dr. Elizabeth's office. How am I supposed to answer half of this stuff for my child?
  15. You posted about this in a different post......I'd rather be someplace like that or Tom's avatar too. I horses. Rinne, I thought I had clicked reply to yours. I'll have to look into going to farmers market down in Vancouver. When we lived near Olympia (where my mom is), they had a nice market. We buy almost everything from Wild...
  16. I hate that too. I've fought with this in my head. I figure organic is still better than conventional because you aren't getting as many poisons. It shouldn't have to come down to that, but it has. You did quite good! If you're the queen of two line posts then I'm the queen of one line posts.
  17. My husband is the only one who tested negative in our family and he has two celiac genes. He went gluten free with the rest of us though.
  18. Thanks for the info on ART Rachel. I've got it copied over.
  19. It's the 28th. It's about a 3 hour drive.
  20. lorka150. She's the one who created the most deliscious bread recipe. Robbin, posting as gluless, wrote a post about it if you want to go to her profile and check her posts. She's also laur on D/S.
  21. Rachel, You're not hungry are you?
  22. Great news! I'd be interested in that in the future. I also want to get Lorka's cookbook.
  23. Thanks Patti.....I've missed seeing you on here. You've been quiet lately.
  24. I've wondered about that. If your asymptomatic how do you know you have something. To me, if you have to continue removing foods from you diet and are willing for alternative testing then go for it. The candida shouldn't be an issue so much for you anymore from what everyone else has said......unless something else is driving it. I'm very curious...
