    ARCHIVED The Bro...

OK, I may be a bit slow on the uptake here, I just noticed this today. I'm laughing my butthole off.... Is that really a group's name?

    ARCHIVED The Bro...

2 Day the bro sends me e-mail and quips that "Chili seems to go right thru me without changing much". I told him, check the label on the can you fruitcake. This little problem will not go away until you start eating things that do not say WHEAT under ingredients. I have to confess it's entertaining watching him go thru all the steps of denial that...
  3. Well, some of them may brag and be proud, but I bet you don't hear many say "Gee Dave, I'm worried you may have Gluten Intolerance because of the way you just stunk up the restroom". To men being stinky denotes manliness except for me of course.
  4. Most people, especially guys aren't going to talk about their bathroom habits. "Hey dude, how was your poo today" Can you imagine this discussion on league night at the bowling alley?? This fact in itself is what keeps Celiac/Gluten Intolerance from being more widely recognized. This is aside from the fact that I'm NOT CELIAC, according to the...
  5. My family has a long history of an anxiety disorder/depression, which it would seem clears right up when going gluten-free. My dad had it really bad and always killed the pain with help from Jack D. Turns out both my brothers have it too and no one knew. Now I didn't do casein and I don't think I have a casein problem. Do you, I don't know. For myself...
  6. Ya, after I looked at the title, I realized it looked silly. I am excited because -- this is more evidence to convince the twin to go gluten-free.....
  7. So I don't see my younger brother as much as my twin, but we correspond via e-mail quite a bit. The other day I mentioned..BTW, Garry and I have learned we are seriously Gluten Intolerant. Tests seem to indicate it's not Celiac, but the Gluten Intolerance symptoms can be pretty awful. I told him since he likely carries some of the same DNA as us, he...

    ARCHIVED Omg.....

I'm going to make a smart a$$ed comment and say that a gluten-free, yeast free cinnamon "bun" sounds more like a ROCK than anything else. Personally I won't spend a lot of time looking Sorry, it's what just popped out of my head this early in the morning.
  9. Hey we are genetic matches! Want to compare notes?? I'm a 3,1 also. What I've read and learned from some of these folks is that 3,1 seems to possibly be associated with an increased risk of neurological symptoms. If you don't have the Celiac gene, you're not likely to have the intestinal damage typical of true Celiac, but that doesn't mean it...
  10. It's sooo bizarre, even work seems to stress me out less...
  11. Hey second day in a row....I feel lovely. Hopefully it's a trend!
  12. Actually on numerous occasions it was a strategically placed wooded vacant lot or something. Not that I'm particularly proud of this
  13. I would accept the first diagnosis, it's more than many people get. I would only agree to more testing if the gluten-free diet didn't help after a substantial time. j
  14. Ok, this may sound like bragging and maybe I am, but I feel great. It's been a month now that I've been 99% gluten-free, except for the late evening cookies and the accidental glutening on the cruise ship. I feel really good. -I'm no longer bloated and going to the bathroom 8 times per day. -I can go on a nice long 6 mile run and not worry...
  15. Early afternoon, Pacific time. You don't say what tests you had done, but I'm guessing you will be positve for antibodies, especially if you are having symptoms. If you had the gene tests done, great...it will either exclude Celiac or not. Most everyone will have at least one Gluten Sensitive gene marker.... In my case Enterolab "diagnosed" gluten...
  16. I did a double take because the radio didn't explain whether it was simply Wheat Gluten harming the pets, or CONTAMINATED gluten, which it sounds like it is. In any case...made me chuckle too. j
  17. Funny but a year ago, I didn't know what Gluten was. Now it is everwhere I look. Sort of like when you buy a car, you suddenly notice all the cars that look like yours....
  18. Sorry if this is on another thread, but I've been hearing about pet food recalls the last couple mornings on the news. This morning they said they are "focusing on Wheat Gluten" as the source of the contamination. Not sure what that means...either Wheat Gluten is bad for pets OR they Gluten filler they use is contaminated. Anyone know more? j
  19. Yep I AM the BOSS as long as my wife says it's ok
  20. you are too kind
  21. The little darlings are 22 and 18...time to move out and save the gluten-free food for DAD:)

I'm using the same arguments you guys used on me. Telling him....if your behind hurts this bad now....what do you think it's doing to your insides? What about the damage you can't feel? Told him next time he eats a sandwich he can hum...."come on baby light my fire"

    ARCHIVED The Bro...

I have a love hate relationship with being a twin. I hated it when I was a kid because mom dressed us the same...we always had the same birthday. Some relatives got us ONE present to share etc... Also, being an identical twin...all you had to do is look across the table and there you are...sort of weird if you get my drift, and I'm sure you do. ...
  24. Everywhere ya look, there it is....EVERYWHERE!

I asked him if his butt was sore enough yet to stop eating wheat...and he said "could be something else" Doh
