  1. I'm not a huge frosting fan either. I like to use Cool Whip. You can mix in a little bit of Jello powder to get different colors and flavors.
  2. According to the Delphi List, all Colagte toothpastes are ok and no Listerine mouthwashes or "pocket packs" contain gluten. They do give a possible cc warning, but most companies do that. I use Listerine (the orange one) without any problem.
  3. I tried to find the recipe on here, but I couldn't. Could you post the whole thing??
  4. WELCOME! What state do you live in? I'm in Michigan and I know that here I can go online and get a list of all of the gluten free products available in Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, or Meijer. Do you have any of those stores? If not, try google searching the name of the nearest chain stores to you or post where you are and what stores you have and maybe someone...
  5. I used to work for and shop at Sam's Club. Now I shop at Costco. We have both very close to one another and as far as I can tell they are pretty much identical as far as product selection.
  6. Hooray! I'm going to make some tomorrow. My son will be so excited. He's 5 and he loves to cook with me. The corn pudding is his favorite thing we make. I'm going to try the apple muffin recipe someone posted last week too. Mmmmmm...
  7. Can someone explain to me why aluminum deodorant would be bad for you?
  8. I'll add my support for Dove too! I'd be lost without their foaming face wash. It's so good to my skin!
  9. I'm from Algonac. It's northeast of Detroit at the base of the thumb.
  10. I was getting acne on my scalp until I realized I was using a shampoo with wheat in it. I have the Delphi list. Their list of safe health and beauty stuff is too big to copy and post. Here's how to get it. 1) Go to the website, Open Original Shared Link 2) Click on "messages" or "start reading" 3) Select the folder "gluten-free Product List" 4) Click...
  11. I'm from Algonac, but I figured unless you were from nearby you wouldn't know where that was. I work out in Shelby Twp. I went to Celiac Specialties in C'field for the first time this week. It was good. I had a piece of banana cake and my son had "bread pudding" made from cut up donuts covered in chocolate. His was too sweet for me. I also bought some...
  12. I used to use the Chi-Chi's mix in my corn pudding. Haven't made it since going gluten-free. My son's been begging for it, though. "Cake" is what they called it on their menus. I think that sold better than "pudding". But it was always served with a scooper and eaten with silverware. You couldn't really pick it up. Now I'm salivating! I miss Chi-Chi's!! ...
  13. Yay for your degree! Good luck with the cheese. Can that really work?
  14. Good to know. My bf suggested today that I start trying out for belching contests. I'll definitely have to try that.
  15. Is that similar to the Chi-Chi's corn cake? Does anyone know if their pouch mix is gluten-free? It's made by Hormel since Chi-Chi's went under, and it doesn't list any wheat ingredients. It's the only cornbread mix my local grocer has that doesn't list wheat. I've been wanting to try it, but wasn't sure.
  16. Hi, Beth. I'm 26 and I'm in SE Michigan. What area are you in? I'm self-diagnosed (HATE my doctor) and I've only been gluten-free about 2 months myself, so I'm still learning. Glad to meet you. I believe *most* vinegars are ok. Malt vinegars are not ok. The Delphi List has these Heinz condiments as gluten-free: Heinz (Heinz) (800-255-5750) (www.heinz...
  17. Yep. That's what I was hoping for. I wasn't able to find that on the US website and I've never seen it in real life, though. I might check a Walmart near me, but I think it'd be easier to just have them send it right to my house. It's cool that they let people order like that. I had asked Frito Lay if I could order a flavor of Fritos that they don't sell...
  18. It's not that I hadn't checked, but they even said in their response that they don't have a store that sells it in my area. I've never ever seen it sold like that. It's been one of my "wishful thinking" ideas for years. I figured if it's not sold everywhere there must be other people who want it but can't get it. I even tried to find a way to buy it online...
  19. I emailed Kraft today to ask about buying just the powdered cheese sauce mix. I guess it's sold in stores in some areas, just not near me. Here was their answer. Hi Heather, Thank you for visiting Open Original Shared Link and for your interest in KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Cheese Topping. I've checked our online product locator database and was...

    ARCHIVED Applebees

I've chanced it at Ruby Tuesday's a couple of times and been ok. I get a burger, no bun, or a steak that's not marinated and a baked potato and steamed veggies. I've heard others have gotten sick from the salad bar. Haven't tried it myself. Guess I'm never going to Applebee's again. Good thing all I ever liked was their veggie patch pizza anyhow.
  21. What an awesome find! Good lookin out!
  22. I've not had a problem yet with Lay's products. We have the little 25 cent bags at work, so I snack on Cheetos and Doritos fairly often. No clue about the meat.
  23. I'd probably go with calling the venue, saying disease alot, and offering to bring a doctor's note. If not, pack a diaper bag and tell them your friend is changing the baby before she brings it in and you're just trying to help her carry everything. This is a great question. I have some concerts later this year. Please let us know how it works out for...
  24. New boxes of Trix are gluten free, but read the label and check the date. They haven't been gluten-free for that long.
  25. Cool! The May issue of Women's Health printed a letter from someone adding Celiac to an article about IBS causes. It was just a little mention, but every little bit helps.
