  1. Tearza, when you post a bunch of information like that, could you please include a link to where you found it. It will really help others who want to investigate further.
  2. Shouldn't that mean you'll be camping out here and just complaining about how much you have to do?
  3. I keep my drawer at work full of soup so I always have something, even if I didn't have time to come up with anything. If I have time on the weekend I'll cook a couple big meals and divvy them up onto containers and stick them in the freezer. These also work for dinner if your caught short.
  4. Seriously. It's not like you can find them under every bush.
  5. Lyle brought me another rat this morning....except this one wasn't quite dead... D'ya think he's trying to teach me to hunt on my own?
  6. I can't even come up with a smart@ss statement about this. It's just incomprehensible...
  7. Okey dokey. Put my red wine pudding onto purple's side dish thread. I am quite certain that all the non-silly readers will find the idea fascinating.
  8. 1 package instant tapioca pudding. Red wine (however much it calls for, minus about 10%). You can bring the wine to a boil and cool if you don't want the alcohol. Mix as directed and chill Fold in whipped cream or cool whip if you want it mousse-like
  9. If you aren't consuming animal products, you are depleting your body of B12: of course... source: Open Original Shared Link
  10. Still, since the test was used in a situation for which it wasn't specifically designed (alcohol and solubilized protein), you can't be sure if the results represent a true positive, or are actually a false positive.
  11. Reminds of a bus ride. The island bus is small, and we all know each other. One evening this guy gets on the bus with a piece of PVC piping. Another guy looks at the pipe for a few minutes, then says: potato gun? First guy says: yep. Second guy thinks for a minute and says: wife outta town? First guy grins and says: yep.
  12. Oh no. We need something that shoots cornstarch balls.
  13. My understanding of H pylori is that it's an acid loving bacteria and the only way to get rid of it is 1 or 2 different antibiotics along with ppis. You also frequently have to treat the person's partner, as it can be passed through kissing. On the other hand, many people have H pylori but are completely asymptomatic. If it isn't causing you any problems...
  14. mmmm...no thanks. How will I know a day has gone by if it hasn't been crappy and filled with angst?
  15. DAVEY!!!! HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY!!
  16. It looks like an ad, not an article.
  17. Manda, are you only gluten-free?
  18. I used SlowFe for a while. They work great. Never bothered to check the gluten status, but I don't recall any reactions.
  19. There are no gluten ingredients in this beer, and, apparently, they test the mash before brewing to test for cross contamination, because post brewing tests would give a false positive. I don't know what part of the gluten molecule the testing strips test, but it IS possible that during fermentation, some proteins could be broken down to a piece that cross...
  20. Yet another use for those impaired driving skills.
  21. Thanks for the link! Ya know....she might want to consider having the anitbody test redone after she's been on a regular diet (without a tapeworm) for a while....just in case....
  22. I was a whole lot less pleasant on gluten. You'll find a new community, both online and in person. Just hang in there.
