    I think I would state this more generally. There are some proteins that are big and hard to digest. Casein is one of them. If you have some digest problem that allows these big proteins to escape your gut, you can, potentially, start making antibodies directed against them. You are very unlikely to make antibodies against a protein you rarely consume...

    I cut back on sugar because my blood sugar's always on the high end of normal. I just stopped eating all sweets except the occasional dark chocolate (and the two bags of Hallowe'en candy ). My sugar comes only from fruit for 90% of my diet, and not much of that. I try to drink herbal teas to quench the cravings.

    Well, it's hard to tell from a forum. People that are completely "cured" by not eating gluten have no incentive to hang out on a forum (although some do), so there's probably a higher percentage of multiply intolerant people here.

    You are gonna have a fabulous time! Love the UK!! I was there pre-gluten-free, so I can't offer food tips, but everything shuts down on the holidays, so do ALL your food shopping ahead of time. jealous jealous jealous

    Unless the barley grass was harvested by someone who took care not to include any seeds, it not CC, you are poisoning yourself. A reaction you get from continuously putting gluten in your body may be different from a CC reaction.
