    Tell him if he's going to be vandalizing other people's property he'd better have nice writing and make him practice letters for a couple hours a day? Have an extremely detailed discussion about body parts and tell him he needs to understand what he's writing? That next time you expect to see Open Original Shared Link?

    Good to know. Maybe he could build a self closing door to the coop that's keyed to the amount of sunlight. Either that or he could train Seuss, the rooster, to tap a button and shut the door when all the girls are inside.

    I heat the milk to ~185, let it cool to ~100 (at least less than ~120), add some yogurt mixed with warm milk to make it all liquidy, put the whole pot in the oven that's been preheated to 200 degrees and turned off. I put towel under the lid to catch the steam, but that's about it. I leave it overnight and eat it in the morning. It thickens as it cools...

    light bulbs. led bulbs from China. Yes, dim bulb sums it up. His dad is disgusted and can't even talk to him. Not looking forward to lunch with his mom on Friday. She's one of my good friends, and I see this entirely as the kid's (24, not really a kid) problem. But I imagine that a parent would feel a lot of negative things in this situation.

    AND find some treat that you CAN eat and keep that around for when you need to remind yourself that there are bright spots to be found.

    I'm using Open Original Shared Link because it smells purty, and I got some at a B&BW closeout for $2. Otherwise, vaseline is a quick fix, and coconut oil tastes good. You could probably make up your own blend of coconut and almond oils so you have a softer substance to use.

    Last day. Weather report suggests unfavorable winds and increasing rain, so we leave on the tide. A long motor home to the island. I am totally wiped out.     I could maybe get some chicken feet pics to put up. Spent all day wandering around PT. I was grouchy at the Pirate for much of it until he suggested I listen to the street musician while he rowed back to the boat and put away the groceries.     Another day. Coffee in "The Boiler Room", a coffee shop run by volunteers to promote an alcohol free environment for young musicians. Plan for today: Farmer's Market and wander through the cute shops and old buildings in PT.

    Next day. A morning walk. There's nothing here but houses, many of which look empty (summer homes). Lots of 'private - keep out' signs and it makes the whole island seem unfriendly. I imagine that they're overrun with tourists in the summer and are just trying to protect their stuff, but when we're the only ones there it doesn't sound nice. We leave...

    I have no idea what day it really is anymore. A short walk, and we meet the Canadian couple from the other side of the island. Walk over to see the boat his dad built (7 years!) and chat for a while. One of the local residents, a scruffy old man pulls up in a pink kayak and tells us stories about the island, like the bone year the neighbors cows didn...

    Or blown away. It's too early for any park rangers to be out yet, so nobody pays for moorage. 'Course that means the water isn't yet turned on either. Fine for us, but I hope other people plan ahead.

    Day7&8. We head to Sucia,the biggest of the park islands. Morning and afternoon hikes, a night in echo bay, then we head to the other side of the island and anchor in Fossil Bay. This is a popular island, and a Canadian Yacht club is spending the weekend here. They have a 4 day holiday over Easter and I guess Sucia is the place to be. We walk...

    Day6. Holy crap it's cold. There's so much condensation in the boat that it's raining on the bed. The Pirate gets up and opens the hatches. An amazing sunny morning. We chat with a dad and his kids fishing on the dock and offer them some hot dog for bait. A couple cups of coffee and head up into town to the bookstore for coffee and internet.
