  1. Well I just got the call back from my blood tests and they said that they were negative. I have a strong family history of the disease. I was so sure that this was the problem. I have had symptoms basicly my whole life. The test was done at a small town hospital in Iowa. I donno what to do now.......this is extreamly depressing and now I find myself...
  2. I agree that the IV is the worst part of the whole thing with the little ones. I just want to add that to make sure YOU get tested. I had a normal first pregnancy and ended up having my second 3 months early because of celiac....I did not know about this disease beforehand. You want your baby to be getting all of it's nutrients and be aware that you could...
  3. I would suggest that if you can not use a gas grill then use the wood ones. We use them when camping and they seem to work quite well.
  4. Thanks...I think I get it now.
  5. I'm confused now. The website above says that matzo bread is made from water and wheat but it says that matzo meal is used in place of wheat for some religious reasons. I guess maybe I should call the manufactur.
  6. I found some pkgs. of breading mix that the main ingreadient was matzo meal.....it didn't lis any wheat products. But I donno what matzo meal is or if it is safe to eat. Does anyone know what this stuff is?
  7. LOL that's halarious! However, we can't afford to buy many premade fg foods. Actually we have almost always made homemade waffles since my hubby got us a waffle maker almost 5 years ago......we love them. We have always used a mix though.....we use the Mrs. Buttersworth mix but obviously that isn't going to work now.....errr! I was thinking maybe I could...
  8. Does anyone know of a really good home made waffle recipe? I have issues with things like scrambled eggs but seem to be ok if its baked. Besides our daughter we don't eat much cereal and havn't been making bread yet.....actually we still don't have a stove so it's hard to actually bake anything.....but we will have one soon. Does anyone have any good breakfast...
  9. So far I have been diagnosed with IBS. My last doctor told me that all I needed was a phyciatrist. My tests come back next week so I donno if I have Celiac yet. I have many many diagnoses of other things such as migraines, 3 month preemie, nerve damage, etc. My understanding is that many or well most people are misdiagnosed to start with aned the avg...
  10. We don't use any fillers...no bread crumbs, crackers, or cereal. All they do anyways is soak up the grease we shouldn't be consuming anyways.
  11. It depends on the preschools policies on that one. Our daughter wore a diaper for awhile overnight even after being trained during the day.....the biggest thing was not to let her have more than litterly a sip of anything after dinner time. Not all kids are the same and some take longer than others.....from what I have been told boys take a little longer...
  12. I pesonally agree that a child needs the social experience that school offers. I myself am a home child care provider but still chose to send our daughter to preschool just for that reason. My step-mom is an elementary school teacher and she says that all the kids with peanut allergies eat in teachers lunch room when peanut butter is served. You could...
  13. My dad works for Tyson and they don't do fish. I have no idea what the black thing would be. I have some issues with meat smelling bad to me but my husband claims it smells fine. I also have found that even after cooking it that sometimes our chicken tastes like fish to me and I don't care for fish. It bugs me and I can't explain why this is. I heard...
  14. I was always told DO NOT use pullups for potty training. I guess they pull to much moisture away from the skin and they don't really realize that they have peed. For us we used the thick potty training uderware wich helped allot with her feeling that she had gone and helped keep some of the mess down a bit. She could not have anything to drink after dinner...
  15. Ok well the story is about me but I um don't remember it but it has been a favorite story of my parents. I was a baby and we took a trip to WalMart. They had me in shopping cart and apperantly the diaper wasn't enough to hold what I did. I guess I made a huge mess in the cart and imbarrassed my parents. They left the poopy cart in the isle and left the...
  16. Thanks guys! I guess I know what to look for now. I just hope one of our local gracery stores carries it!
  17. We are planning on going gluten free in about a week and would find it helpfull not to waste money on pasta that isn't any good. We usually eat speghetti, alfredo, and bowtie pasta's. What brands have you found to be close to "normal" pasta if any?
  18. Sounds like it's worth a look. Thanks for letting us know about it. Is is sapossed to be on the 5pm or 6pm news?
  19. I agree that intamacy is a big part of a relationship. I find it realy hard to get in the mood to go that far.....I do try though. He doesn't go months without it or anything....in general he gets it at least once a week but being he's a guy and all he wants it just about every night. He may be making his own drama with the food thing. I have tried explaining...
  20. I have talked to him when he is calm and we have not been fighting. At that point he often says he understands and wants me to get better. But then he turns around and throws it all in my face.....I think he is also upset that his children may have to deal with this.....our oldest shows sure signs but her blood tests were negative but she is also only ...
  21. Thank you.....it is nice to get a mans perspective on all of this.
  22. Thank you all for the advice and support. It is nice to know that I am not the only one going through all of this and that maybe just maybe I am not crazy.
  23. I agree.....he shouldn't yell at me.....I always end up crying and to depressed to deal with him. I hope he relizes what this is all about after I am on the diet for awhile. I am glad as well that I am not the only one feeling this way.....I myself just turned 24 and feel like I'm 80. I am so sick of all of this and just home myself and...
  24. I have had symptoms since early childhood that have only gotten worse. I have a list for the doctor of about 75 symptoms or so. As many of you I am sure can relate I feel like **** everyday. I feel like I have a bout of the flu that has lasted about 11 years that won't go away......I feel like I am going to throw up everyday....I don't even remember what...
  25. Our daughters GI claims that even if I and her sister have celiacs that she would only have 3% chance of having it. I personally think that is BULL ****!!!!!!!!!! It seems Everbody so far in our family in the same blood line has the disease from there great grandmother on down the line. Grandparents.....great grandparents.....aunts......great aunts.....
