  1. Well.....I guess its the whole putting something where it doesn't belong fear.... but if it were something worse or there were prolems down the line (since she just wants a baseline), because based on everything she said you have celiac, I have no doubt in my mind. I just see that its to further diagnose, because it can't disprove. Ugh, I don't know...
  2. Mr doc who concentrates her practice on celiac disease and research, said een 6 weeks gluten free isn't enough to really skew a biopsy and challanges if you have highly positive blood work are more dangerous than they are beneficial.
  3. Yeppers! I find something that works well for me....be it gluten-free cookies...breyers...and it like a box...not just 4 cookies ya know...
  4. Totally off topic from Outback...but I was glutened at PF Changs..... The jerk waiter who was handling my carry out...said oh this is the gluten free.....I said no its not the gluten free looks different, you're not supposed to have soy sauce in there or the cookie. Sooooooooooo he takes it back in the kitchen, new bag no soy sauce...no cookie. I get...
  5. So anyone that has not had one......what did your docs say? Anyone that has had one...was it beneficial...and how did it impact your treatment?
  6. Mean on every test shes done she put the dx code as celiac disease....not something no nspecific.... so she is already coding it officially as celiac disease and she said the oeteoporosis and penia...were further confirmation. Anybody thats had one....did you have a bad experience? Anyone that hasn't......why not...and how has your treatment gone since...
  7. Well alot of us...have some degree of aspiration.....with the reflux some of us get in the middle of th enight particularly. which is why you might wake up and cough etc.... I dunno if anyone has that here...but some of my friends do...
  8. Well thats how I feel. I just don't get it..... It makes no sense.....I mean....they usually do it along with a colonoscopy to check both ends so to speak. But she said I did'nt need that based on everything she;s seen. She said its just to have a baseline. I'm not sure a base line is valid for me. I don't know....I don't want to seem difficult...
  9. Well....she said on the phone she is confident based on my numerous CT's Er visits, and past med history there is nothing else going on and that shes using it as a baseline, incase I have to have something done later, there is something to compare progress or progression on...
  10. This seems so archaic to me.... If 5 doctors say...absolutely minus the biopsy, this is what you have. You have to maintain a strict gluten free diet or you could really hurt yourself....why.
  11. Came back....way off the chart....IGA, TTG Then my B's were low.....my minerals like zinc were off....my A, Mag, potass, and calcium were the very last number in normal and mag was one poiny under normal. I have osteopenia in my hips, and osteoporosis in my spine and shes certatin other areas. Why have I not been started on vitamins....and why are...
  12. It couldbe the sugar....because I have just gone striaght to veggies, fruit and lean meats...and avoiding any real sweets, except for the odd gluten free treat..... Thats probably it....

  14. I KNOW! Before I went gluten-free, there were a couple of times like that and I thought I was literally going to fall down. Like my arms were shaking and my legs were weak.... This is interesting.....that it seems to be common
  15. Wow...not that I have had the D....and drank alot of water...I feel better.... but wow....Since going gluten free...I haven't felt like that...so it was really really scary. I can't belive I made such a silly mistake. Atlease the kid got off to school with his right lunch and clothes on... lol
  16. I put my rice bread in the wrong toaster this morning, half alseep and did not realize it till I had already bitten. I am so mad. Now I am jittery though. It was one bite, but I suppose thats all it takes.
  17. Lots of things have modified food starch in them and it can be either corn or wheat based and they don't list it as an allergen....so it apparently not well enforced, or the law allows for it thorugh some loop hole. I beleive it was those burgers....because everything else alone....when I have eaten them in the abscence of the burgers was fine. Now today...
  18. I read malodestrin is ok...only if its corn or potatoe based...unless you have issues with those. They they said some are wheat based...this manufacturer....is wheat based. I should have asked...its my own fault....I am so mad at me!
  19. TOP TEN THINGS ONLY WOMEN UNDERSTAND 10. Why it's good to have five pairs of black shoes. 9. The difference between cream, ivory, and off-white. 8. Crying can be fun. 7. FAT CLOTHES. 6. A salad, diet drink, and a hot fudge sundae make a balanced lunch. 5. Discovering a designer dress on the clearance rack can be considered a peak life...
  20. I am soooo stupid. I want to cry. I thougth these turkey burgers, were ok. Then I was feeling burning today and gassy...and just kinda blah. I'm like alll I had was fruit...some of my IAN'S allergen free chicken nuggest....and this turkey burger plain...just the meat, that I cooked at home. So I go to the kitchen to investigate. Low and behold....
  21. You also CAN NOT have anything wrapped in SEA WEED unless they can assure you its not treated with soy sauce. Many sushi restaurants use a treated sea weed.....thats what I learned in Japan. So now...I get sashimi....or have them roll without it.
  22. I bought a case....I discovered these in Florida....OMG...soooo good..the vanilla....the lemon....it islike the pre-gluten free days...
  23. I am 100% Irish on my mother side, and on my father side 50% "right off the boat" to Illinois in 1867, my great great grandmother was a chool teacher in Lemont, IL at St. Patrick's. So yeah...I guess you could say I'm Irish. Then the other day when I had my big GI appt.....the Dexxa scan lady said...yeah....I see so many people with an Irish background...
  24. I asked my doc about these antidepressents and she said all they do by their very nature is make you not really "care" or pay attention to the problem. She said they don't help and they just mask everything. She also said anti-depressents are a leading cause of osteoporosis, as are um stuff like prednisone, anti biotic like tetractcline(sp), and there is...
