  1. Thanks, Andrea. I think I'll do the $369 for now. That'll be enough to depress me!!
  2. Thanks, Andrea....I'll go check! Sarah....So is it $369 or did you have to add a few tests on top of that?? thanks!

    ARCHIVED Normal Bm's

Hi bernesses.....I'm new here, but was wondering if maybe casein is your other intolerance?? Thanks for the poop discussions. I'm trying to figure things out yet!!
  4. That would be fun, Sue....I love your screen name, by the way!!
  5. Sarah, Could you tell what that battery of tests cost you?? Is there any way that insurance will pay some of it?? When I went to their site, I had to first give my name, address, everything before finding out how much the tests were. So I didn't "order".....If I fill that out, can I still cancel the order?? I'm not even sure which tests to order...
  6. I don't know very much about it either. Why don't you find a message board like this one and ask a few questions?
  7. Sorry, I'm having a rough time figuring out this board!!! Never can click on the right "reply" button!! I would NOT chew gum containing sugar...at least not now. Rice-based carbs are not good either, look to see if sweet potatoes are OK in the link I provided. I generally avoid them. YOU MUST take probiotics with the antifungals!!!! Absolutely essential...
  8. Since I have worked with a lot of Lyme patients who are on long term antibiotics, I have the following information at my fingertips. The plan outlined below will help you beat the yeast and keep it away. DIET is very important!! I battle candida myself all the time even though I'm no longer on antibiotics. As for the product you mentioned, I've never...
  9. I've used it a number of times and it does very well for me. The mint flavor is better than the plain. I do hope it's gluten-free!
  10. I'm your neighbor in Missouri!! Was also your neighbor while growing up in Texas!! Sue, you're not that far from me. I'm in Branson!

    ARCHIVED Had My Appt Today..

hugs!!!! You'll make it through! He may have put celiac? crohn's? to justify doing the test [in the eyes of the insurance company]. I'm scheduled for a colonoscopy July 18.
  12. Thank you! That gives me hope!!
  13. Thanks! I was just thinking about the gluten being the cause of the back pain today. It would be a relief to get rid of that!!
  14. [ I figured out it was a different herb and put that one in the cupboard to try again when my digestion is stronger - so I need to pound these Florastor. They're shockingly expensive - $52/bottle of 50 pills. More than a buck a pill. Don't drop any of those under the dishwasher! I'll check out this theralac you mentioned.
  15. Wow, I didn't know that about florastor! I've had systemic yeast for many years. Being on long term antibiotics for many years didn't help either....but I had no choice. I've found that theralac is awesome! you can find it at www.theralac.com Two weeks will help a yeast problem, but may not "cure" it. You have to watch ALL SUGARS and even starches...
  16. Well, I just started on armour thyroid about 2 months ago. I wondered if the "kidney" pain might actually be from my colon?? Need to see about blood calcium levels. Thanks!
  17. I've had bad pain in the area of my kidneys for about a year. I had a CT scan several months ago and it showed that the kidneys were fine. My bloodwork is slightly abnormal on the BUN/creatinine. I've been getting foot and hand cramps for several months. It seems to happen if I forget to take my calcium. So I was wondering if maybe I'm not absorbing the...
  18. What's the sugar content??
  19. Thanks, Carla. You've been very helpful and I appreciate it very much!! I'm not THAT depressed. I take mangosteen juice everyday for other complaints, and one of the side "benefits" is how it helps depression. I'm just bummed out because I also have yeast issues and would LOVE nothing better than eating fruit all day. So many of the gluten-free products...
  20. That makes me chuckle just a little....I've been on "Lymenet" for 6 yrs helping people go through the H*** of Lyme disease. We often tell them the same thing. The tests for Lyme are very inaccurate, but will show certain bands if you have it.....but the overall test result may say you don't have it. Very confusing for everyone....but we tell them it's kinda...
  21. I hope someone knows, because I've been using L-glutamine for a very long time.
  22. Hey gang. I've been trying to do a lot of reading about celiac disease. I had a saliva test by DiagnosTechs several years ago that showed high levels of gliaden. I think that test can have a lot of false positives, but not sure. I do not usually have diarrhea, though that does happen from time to time. I've always been plagued by constipation. Lately...
  23. I found your file, but all I saw was lists of OK foods. Didn't you have more than that when you first posted it here?? I'm sorry....I'm not good at navigating new sites ...this one still has me confused at times!!
  24. Well, no I'm not anywhere near New York!! How about Branson, MO??!! Chinese food has been one of my "safest" low carb places to eat. I have to avoid most carbs due to my Lyme disease/yeast problems. Concerning the Japanese place...We have one here that cooks the food in front of you on the "grill"....I don't think they cook ANY gluten foods....just veggies...
