  1. NOPE! Lyme is difficult to "capture" in the blood. The bacterial "spirochetes" hang out in the tissues. They are corkscrew shaped and can travel best in tissue. That's why the lyme tests are so rotten and miss MANY cases. Scary, huh?
  2. Me too. I don't think tailz was given three strikes, that's for sure. I do understand what some of you said about talking too much about celiac to others. I now have TWO main health issues I want to tell others about! So it's doubly hard to keep my mouth shut!! Some Lyme patients are obsessive complulsive and impulsive as well. Sound familiar...
  3. DR B is closing his practice to do research and to educate other doctors about Lyme and its coinfections! I would say yes. Go to the Red Cross site. Lyme is listed as something you can't have if you donate blood. I've been bitten hundreds of times as a child. That was 20 yrs before anyone knew ticks carried diseases. You can get at least...
  4. YEA!!!
  5. You're kidding! Yucko on the villi problem! I was trying to go dairy free, but have had tiny amounts when I put cheese on our broccoli. I usually only take the pieces that have very little cheese on them. Ok....nothing left to eat. I already was steering clear of soy as well. If I have to give up corn, I'm gonna be mad!! Thanks for the info!!
  6. This is the second time I've reacted to a Blue Bunny yogurt that's supposed to be gluten free. So is it the casein?? I have the same basic symptoms as with gluten. Those sensitive to casein.....Do you get the same symptoms as with gluten??

Lyme disease is found in all 50 states. Ever traveled outside of Oregon? The incidence is higher in some states more than others, but pets travel all over the US and could carry the disease anywhere.
  8. I think that shows she was confused and just changed names in order to get back on. If she were trying to hide her identity, she would have. Anyway, I'm glad for the discussion. It explains a few things. I hadn't had time to go through the board and read all the threads with her name in them to figure out what happened.
  9. I think I'm not allowed to post the website, but I found one by "Dr. Natura"...It was simple and easy on the system....doesn't taste nasty or anything.
  10. You may have yeast issues since you are craving sweets and carbs. If you could get that under control, the sugar cravings will go way down and you will naturally lose weight. here is some info for you: Candida diet and elimination: Open Original Shared Link It won't let me post the link I wanted. If you'd like it, I can PM it to you.
  11. Thanks for letting us know. With my Lyme disease issues, I usually have blood work done every 4 months. So is a CBC with differential all I need?
  12. Good! I'm glad. I told tailz that she shouldn't get so carried away with the Lyme stuff. People don't usually want to hear it. I'm "old" and seasoned and know not to do that. I figure if anyone wants to know more about Lyme, they'll ask....though I won't hesitate to say something if the need arises. I have her email if anyone wants to contact her....
  13. Will do!!
  14. I can't believe that "tailz" has been banned. I'm not really sure WHY...??
  15. thanks for the info!

Not necessarily "misdiagnosed" but Hashimotos is fairly common in Lyme patients....actually any kind of thyroid disorder is .

It's hard for me to put the blame on any one thing, because I don't REALLY know when my celiac began. If you will notice my signature, I've had problems for many years. But what's strange is that inbetween those years, I was doing pretty good. [well, sorta...as far as digestive issues I was "OK" ] I DID avoid wheat since 1975, but began cheating around...
  18. You know what scares me about that?? Is it true that a dr treating an AIDS patient might give repeated steroid therapy in order to convert the negative test to a positive? YIKES! Steroid "therapy" suppresses the immune system That is NOT a good thing most of the time! [unless your life is in danger from some severe infection or asthma, for example] In...
  19. Christians who read the Bible know about them! Most "serious" Christians read the "Old" Testament, as well as the "New".
  20. It was severe pain that finally made me search the internet to see what was wrong. Now I remember several other occasions over the years where I was in so much pain I just laid on the bathroom floor between spells with the potty. Sometimes I had diarrhea, sometimes couldn't pass gas to save my life! That was worse than anything else!!

  24. What's sad is that some people think deep fried green beans is a good way to get their vegetables in!!!!
  25. I agree...bigtime. I'm a former teacher and that is SOOO unacceptable to TEACH a child to do something WRONG!!! That's CRAZY!! ------------- what kind of dog??
