  1. OH geez!! I feel for ya!! I was in band from 7th grade through college and my husband is a professional musician. He is a band director. Every time I see his conductor scores, my head spins!! They have got to be hard to read!!!!! [until maybe lots of practice!!] I hear ya on the issue of keys. Too much for my Lyme-head to even think about! Hats...
  2. Wow. I feel for you! Look into the work of Dr Ritchie Shoemake in MD. He is very good at helping people with environmental and chemical sensitivities. He has also written several books, which you may want to read. Google his name.

    ARCHIVED Pf Changs

I had my first experience with PF Changs at Christmas in Texas. It was awesome!!! Next time I will order the lettuce wraps only. They were great!! I did have a mishap, but it had nothing to do with gluten. I ordered the salmon and it had some kind of sauce on it. I took one bite and began choking. It was NOT because it went down wrong. It was an allergic...
  4. No, it's not acidic. It's even used by many for acid reflux.
  5. ME! I was dxd around 1980. It was later found that my pain was really Lyme disease. Be sure to get checked for that. Your ordinary lab will NOT give a good test. It's just like celiac. The RIGHT lab is just as important as the right test. I used Igenex Lab in CA. I've now been treated and am doing great. I did have some pain left-over after treatment...
  6. I'm sorry you are having a flare of your IC!! I was dxd with that in 1992. It actually was one of the causes for my having to leave the profession of teaching.....that won't be hard for you to imagine WHY!! I now take the original mangosteen supplement and it helps my IC tremendously! It has also helped my Lyme disease ALOT!!!!!!! I do believe...
  7. Thanks for all the info, Rachel. I may post some of that on Lymenet....unless you'd like to do that yourself?? I knew when I saw all of you folks eating ice cream by the tons, that there were going to be some problems!! What do you eat on the gluten-free and yeast-free diet?? Not much!! I eat protein and vegetables and I make sure that the...
  8. Ask them if they deliver to Branson!!

  10. That's a known problem with having a suppressed immune system. [the not getting communicable stuff] I would really suspect Lyme. Would you send me your test results again?? [not sure if I ever saw them] Didn't you have Lyme-specific bands???
  11. Glad you got the appointment. Yes, please PM me or email me. I don't know if you have my email address.
  12. ------------------------------------------------------------- For me, that was a symptom of Babesia, a coinfection of Lyme disease. Be sure to get treated for that one. YES, it's ME!!! I've been visiting family down in Texas and generally goofing off for the past 4-5 wks. So how many folks do we have here with Lyme disease now?????
  13. I think I have the same thing today. It was bothering me all day yesterday and today was all goopy. I will probably see an eye dr Monday if I can get in. I hate not wearing my contacts and going without makeup!!!!!
  14. I wouldn't assume that! I fully believe you need antibiotics in the beginning or you will never get well. Just my bias. I've seen alot over the past 6 yrs. 15. WE'll be headed to Houston soon and staying at my brother's house. He always gets hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of cookies, candies, pies, hams, pecans.....I weaken every year to the sweets. I have a yeast problem I constantly battle with. This year I HAVE TO stick to ONLY safe items. I'll miss the homemade brownies the most!!
  16. Yes, sounds like me too! When are you going gluten-free?
  17. I"ve been wheat free for 30 yrs....except for several yrs when I cheated!! [like the last 10!!] So i'm used to avoiding bread and such. I weaken when there are sweets around, but I have my own stash. My home is not gluten-free.....just me. We eat mostly proteins and vegetables....and have for years. There are only two of us.
  18. Laughter is the shortest distance between two people. -- Victor Borge That gives me a warm feeling inside every time I see that quote! I had the supreme pleasure of seeing Victor Borge perform....many years ago. What a great man!
  19. Man, we escaped most of the snow here, but 30 miles away they got a foot of snow. That's more than we got the last two years combined. I'm in Southern Missouri, but we've had winters with 50 inches of snow....so the last two winters were pretty boring!! Today was SO cold! the daytime high was 25. It's supposed to warm up tomorrow. ... like in the low...
  20. That's not correct for Lyme. It is correct for other "regular" infections. Read this: Western Blot explanation: Open Original Shared Link FROM THE ABOVE LINK: With most infections, your immune system first forms IgM antibodies, then in about 2 to 4 weeks, you see IgG antibodies. In some infections, IgG antibodies may be detectable for years....
  21. I think an elimination diet would be more accurate and $500 cheaper. Just my humble opinion!!
  22. Open Original Shared Link Dec 6, 2006 Lyme disease documentary screened in Wilton By Jeff Yates The Wilton Bulletin Mandy, a bride-to-be, plans her wedding day in Florida.
