    I would tell them to go gluten free for a few weeks and see if it helps. I think there really could be a connection. My stomach doesn't work right either when I eat gluten.

    Definitely try the diet!!!!! You could also get tested thru Enterolab. Someone here can give you that link. I felt better in a WEEK of going gluten-free. It could take you much longer, but it's worth a try!!

    I'm really not sure. If they are "independent" drs and most are by necessity....then they should be able to prescribe them. Most "LLMD's" are NOT affiliated with any HMO's or other insurance companies. But a person's insurance could refuse to pay for the meds.     My thinking exactly as I was reading your first post!!! a "reaction" to antibiotics can mean a "herx".....which would indicate you might have a tick-borne illness. A herx occurs because the antibiotics are killing off the Lyme spirochetes. That makes the dying spirochetes throw off toxins. It is the toxins which make you miserable.
