  1. Hey, since i think I might have positive lyme bands, wonder if this is what is causing my daughters leg pain and iron deficiency? My son had more of the gastro issues when he was born, but I was more symptomatic - had lots of issues going on when I was prego with him.
  2. My latest test results showed calcium to be a bit low. I take 200 mg of magnesium every night. Wonder if its too much or not enough??? I am going to take a detox bath and see if that helps.
  3. Why is my eye twitching? Its not the eyelid, its the muscle below the eye. Its been twitching for 3 days!! UGH! Driving me crazy.....
  4. Thanks for the info everyone. Carla, On that site about Dr. B's guidelines, it indicated Band 41 to be spirochetes "in general". Any idea what this means. Are there other *bugs* that are considered spirochetes? I don't have any under the Specific Bands. Except an IND in one. Guess I'll have to pay that doc by the minute to go discuss the results...
  5. I edited my post above to show which ones had stars. What does IND mean?
  6. Hey all, I just posted my Igenex test results on the Lyme Disease thread. band 41 had a ++. I think thats the band that indicates a positive?????
  7. Got my Igenex Test Results back! I need help deciphering: IGM Results: **23-25 kda = IND **30 kda = + **41 kda = ++ **83-93 kda = IND IGG Results **39 KDA = IND *41 kda = + 45 KDA = + 58 kda = + Multiplex B Burgdorferi: genomic = negative plasmid = negative Okay - so whats the deal?!!!
  8. Julie, About the castor oil pack. I did that 2 days in a row AND I was eating TONS of cilantro everyday. This was my attempt at detoxing (without a good plan). So by day 2 on the castor oil and like day 4 or 5 on cilantro I had a terrible reaction. I don't think it was the castor oil itself. I think I got way more toxins out than I could handle and...
  9. RPM, I didn't know you were a guy either !! Anyway, yes you can get candida the same as a woman does. If you do have candida this could explain why you are having such a hard time right now, for the candida produce A LOT of toxins and can impair your detox organs. PLUS if that truely was an Iodine solution they injected you with, iodine destroys...
  10. I have been reading along and just wanted to say that acupuncture has been really helping me with symptoms. Also, Paula, You probably don't need to take the activated charcoal unless you are feeling symptomatic. Like when you are herxing. I didn't know if you planned on taking it daily. And be sure and take it away from food and supplements because...
  11. Julie - That's right! Flannel...thats what I was trying to think of Kassandra, I don't know what is making her anemic. She is gluten and dairy free 99% of the time. My thoughts were that the metals were displacing good minerals. I know lead displaces iron. After her short chelation this summer she required less iron - going by symptoms...
  12. Hey Radgirl! Have you checked out the candida thread in this section? A couple of us there are dealing with candida and following the candida diet. We are sharing our experiences if you want to check it out. I had gluten intolerance due to candida. I have done a number of things in moving toward recovery. My first step was diet change. I went gluten...
  13. I agree Carla. I guess I get a little leary because of the fact that iron can be bad in high doses too. And hard on the liver if taken too much. I don't think that is going to happen to her considering how low she gets, though. She felt a little better this morning, but went to school with crutches like she did last year. It really causes her a LOT...
  14. Kassandra, Thanks for those explanations. The doctor did think her ferritin levels were fine, but it seems on the low end of the "range" numbers. I am going to have it retested - since those were a year ago. So, is the test for Iron "stores" the same ? Is this a blood test too? Maybe I should see a hemotologist about it. Thanks again! ...
  15. Hey Sherry, Julie may do this differently but my ND told me to do the castor oil packs using a piece of wool type fabric. I found this at Walmart and bought about 2-3 yards for fairly cheap. She said to make sure it wasn't dyed. I guess this is the cleanest fabric with no fillers. Then I soaked the fabric with the castor oil and placed on the abdomen...
  16. That all sounds very hard to deal with and I hope you can get back on your feet. Since you have candida (which can be at the root of a lot of those other conditions) I would suggest going on an anti-candida diet. Of course, eliminating gluten and dairy can be a big help for anyone with those conditions. And by elminating foods that are inflammatory...
  17. They do sell caprylic acid at the HFS. However I have read that this particular way is hard on the liver and does not do as good a job as liquid caprylic acid (caproil). I read that here www.wholeapproach.com. They mix the caproil with psyllium husks fiber. This is supposed to bypass the liver and the pysllium works as a "scrubber" in the intestines and...
  18. Mamaz, I most definately think you have a systemic fungal (yeast) condition. I don't doubt that you may have other underlying problems, but one thing at the time. Do you have a good ND that understands yeast issues? You don't necessarily have to go "carb" free, you just need to know which carbs to avoid. Check out the diet at www.wholeapproach...
  19. I dug up my daughter's blood test results from March 2007. Ferritin, Serum - results 22 - range 10-291 Lead, Blood - results 1 - range 0-9 Tsh - results 2.085 - range .360 to 5.800 The doctor at the time wanted her to take 200mg of ferrous sulfate per day. Isn't that way too much? Feb 2007- blood test showed Hemoglobin 12.1 with range of 11...
  20. Could be....not really sure. She responded to the iron supplement last year when this happened. With heavy metals, I am sure there could be other minerals low. Genova's Urinalysis (provoked DMSA) done 4-10-07 showed non detectible levels of Iron. Potassium was in normal range. Copper was off the charts high. Calcium was a little low - so probably...
  21. HELP! Anyone with knowledge about iron deficiency. A year ago my daughter had terrible leg pains that would come and go. They got so bad that she wouldn't even walk on it. After 7 doctor visits a neurologist suggested it could be from iron deficiency. Since she had levels high in lead, this could displace iron in the body. They checked her iron...
  22. Moldlady, A lot of people have the gene for celiac but it lays dormant. Trauma can cause this dormant gene to become active. My ND said severe case of yeast could cause this to happen. And in my personal opinion I do think that metals can cause all sorts of changes in the body. Some cannot be undone. On another note, gluten can be hard for someone...
  23. Hi Ken, I think die off can be different for everyone. What kind of symptoms were you feeling when this happened. Had you started the candida diet or eat anything antifungal like garlic? Some really bad candida sufferers get die off with just avoiding the problem foods like sugar and carbs. Drink lots of lemon water and do a detox bath if you...
  24. Julie, The Moxa was knew to me....but I kind of liked it. It didn't hurt or anything....but it was "warming"... You've had that done before too? April
  25. I don't know much about malitol, but xylitol is safe and a natural antifungal along with being a good sweetner.
