ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
aprilh replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
That sounds a bit scary to me!! You'll have to scale it down to one shirt before your appt! Did the swelling go down? Does that basically make the chelation useless since it didn't go in your vein? -

Questions!!! Kassandra, What kind of stool test did you do and what lab was it? That sounds very informative and I am thinking about getting something like that done since I never have. People don't understand my need for research and learning either. Sometimes they say that its my focus on research that makes me "sick" when its actually... -

So I uploaded my pic the other day but it won't show up. It's on my control page but it won't show here. Is there a secret to this? -
Could be your not well enough yet to add the wheat back in OR maybe the long term exposure to mold caused a possible dormant celiac gene to become active. Yeast can cause this to happen as well. I do better on wheat than I did a year ago, but still I can tell it stresses my body. I eat it occasionally anyway. I am hoping by getting the metals out...

ARCHIVED Gluten Intolerance?
aprilh replied to iuliamw's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Two other things to consider - bacterial imbalance in the gut and not enough stomach acid in the stomach. Try taking digestive enzymes or a little Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar with your meals or if you are feeling "burpy". If this helps then you probably just don't have enough stomach acid. If this is the case this could lead to the digestion problem in... -
Moldlady, I haven't seen much about BT corn, but I have mentioned it a few places about the mold problem and the GMO problem. If you look around there are a lot of people having problems with corn on this forum. Makes me think of the mold. I think it would be very hard to be a vegetarian! Sometimes I try to steer myself to more vegetable only meals...

i LOVE avacados! They are high in Copper so if you're copper is already imbalanced and high it could cause symptoms of copper toxicity. I believe I am high in copper and try to balance it by taking zinc. I will know for sure soon. Teeth Crack and pop? Hadn't heard of this? That is strange! Do you have metal fillings in your teeth? ... -

Carla, Is the machine you have to detox or kill bugs? Is it like a rife machine? I can't find any LED or ART near me. And the doc I went to see recently has a UV machine. Its a machine that takes blood out, runs it through a uv light to kill bugs, then puts it back in you. I don't know if I am up for that! Sounds invasive to me! Anyone else... -
ARCHIVED Lower Left Abdominal Pain/eye Twitching/causes?!
aprilh replied to jewi0008's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I used to get eye twitches and different wierd pains. Mine, I believe, were caused by a candida overgrowth in the gut. I had an eye twitch that literally lasted 2 months. I went on a anti-candida diet and it cleared up. If I eat too much sugar (feeds yeast) then it will come back a little but never as bad as it was. I also got mouth sores, bloating... -
Great observation Paula. Can you do almonds or sunflower seeds? And maybe a 1/2 grapefruit with xylitol sprinkled on top? You know what is really good and you might like is avacado with your eggs. I sometimes make a frittata with eggs, spinach, garlic, onions - whatever and then when you go to eat slice some avacado with it. that will help give you the...

Do you all find that your friends don't quite understand your situations? I don't even know why I bother talking about it with any of them. Its like I have to pretend it doesn't exist. What is the deal with that? I mentioned to one of my friends who has been around during the past 3 1/2 years of my ups and downs - and although she doesn't... -

Hey Birdy! Does your ionic magn have other ingredients in there. Did I ask you this already!? Sorry if I did. Anyway, mine has a few other trace minerals. I am having a hard time getting past the taste. UGH! Its horrible! Also, what is EAV? -

At home I have the whole Medical deduction booklet printed from the IRS website and things like Chiropractor and acupuncture were covered. I don't think it went into detail as far as chelation therapies and stuff. I can look it up tonight. What kind of vit C and Mag do you all take to keep "things moving?" Maybe this is what I need. And what brands... -
Wow - that is frustrating! Some ND's are trained in lyme, you would need to call around and find out. Have you gone on LN to get a referral there?

ARCHIVED Help Accidently Glutened My Son
aprilh replied to mac8005's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Just a thought, I guess the "natural flavor" was gluten considering his reaction. But a lot of times, i have called the company and its doesn't always mean gluten is in there. So far, the public school has been very supportive of my daughter's gluten issues and I have not had to send any evidence to support that. I do have to pack her lunch everyday... -
ARCHIVED Biopsy Is Negative Ugh!
aprilh replied to Worriedtodeath's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I absolutely HATE it when docs say ibs is "normal". IBS is always a symptom of an underlying problem and is NOT normal. That is my rant for the day. Anyway, I had my son tested throught enterolab, but that does not get to the bottom of it. Your daughter will obviously show signs of antibodies to gluten because she has problems digesting it. To... -
You could retest yourself once you deal with lyme and your underlying issues. You will be surprised how many people are gluten intolerant because of those type issues and not necessarily because they are "celiac". A Year ago I could not handle the tinyest bit of gluten and now after healing leaky gut, treating a systemic candida overgrowth (fungal infection...

ARCHIVED Biopsy Is Negative Ugh!
aprilh replied to Worriedtodeath's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I understand your frustration! My child was around that age was not growing either and responded to a gluten free, dairy free diet. The results of the diet change were very hard to ignore. I chose NOT to do any invasive procedures to PROVE this. IMO it doesn't take a dr diagnosis to tell me that he does better not eating gluten. I did do a test...
