Yep, yep, yep!

 

The craze of going gluten free without testing really bothers me. I would've never done it, if I'd known what I know now. And because my reactions to gluten are so severe now, a gluten challenge is out of the question.

 

What really drives me crazy is those who go just "sort of" gluten free, because they think for sure that they couldn't have celiac disease. That is going to harm them in the long run, if they actually do.

 

I think that the ultimate way to solve the problem will be to develop testing that doesn't require exposure to gluten. I hope for the day when the in vitro gliadin challenge becomes mainstream or they come up with some other way to diagnose, without putting people into complete relapse.

      Trying to read my lab results

      Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep...

      Constant low back, abdominal and pelvic pain!

      I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.
