Icecream At Costco Food Court

HAPPY DOG SUZ

 Aloha,

Yesterday I ate one of those huge icecream bars covered w/chocolate and rolled in chopped almonds from Costco food court. Well about 1/2 hr after consuming I got in the WORST mood GRUMPPPY!!!

I don't know if that was a gluten or sugar response but it was NOT a good one!!!

My boss, whom also has celiac said that he can't eat anything from Costco food court without feeling sick.

Well I avoid sugar as well as gluten I don't know what caused my reaction but no more of that for me!! no matter how delicious it was :( ><>suzanne<><

That is the only thing I eat from Costco's food court. I think for me it's so big and way to much chocolate. I love ice cream but it doesn't set well with me anymore. I don't know why that is but I was told that there is no gluten in the bar.It could be a dairy issue. I don't feel bad if I only eat a half of one. I guess maybe its the size. It's like you just ate a quart of ice cream at one sitting. And the sugar rush to may cause some trouble.

I love Costco's !!!

As a diagnosed Celiac for 23 years, the only thing I have eaten over the years, and not knowingly had flour in it, was ice cream from such places as Costco! Hockey games etc that sell those nice looking ice cream bars, rolled in hot chocolate sauce and rolled in nuts....definate no, no! Each time I was sick for a week; severe stomach ache, couldn't walk or even straighten up for a week. Needless to say, I don't eat ANY ice cream that I can't read the ingredients any more.

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?

Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.

My daughter has celiac disease and has had for a long time. She fell loses strictly gluten-free diet and recently got rid of all cutting boards in any gluten in her house at all. She just had a stool test and it came back showing of gigantic response to gluten in her diet. What could be going on since she doesn't eat any gluten and is very careful about any kind of hidden glue? Help!
