Reaction To Alter Eco Rice, Anyone Else Had It?

I had the khao deng ruby red rice and it got me :/ on their website it says everything is gluten free except one of their chocolates, because their chocolate maker uses an ingredient that can come from either corn or gluten.  But I thought that would be so insignificant that it wouldn't matter because their products come from different places, it's just they are all packaged by Alter Eco.  Perhaps the contamination came from where the rice itself is harvested, processed, etc in Thailand.  I don't really know.  Anyways, has anyone else had a reaction to their products?

Yes.  what helps me is to sort through my grains and remove anything that looks like it could be a gluten grain.  Then I wash them by shaking them in a jar with some liquid dish soap for few cycles.  I was surprised at the color of the water that washes out.  If not gluten, I am certainly removing a lot of dirt.  Then I rinse very well.  I haven't had good luck finding anything that doesn't get me without this treatment.  That is, except for the buckwheat I grew in my garden last summer.  I hope that you feel better soon.

Do you find that this process works for any type and brand of grains so that you can eat them, say for instance a generic bag of rice from Target, or are there still only certain brands that you can handle even with washing?  Also thanks for the well wishes.  I'll be ok in a few days <_<

I am really sensitive.  I take the most gluten-free whole grains possible and then wash.  Even then I'd rather just eat what I can grow because I can still get glutened.  At this point I would go hungry a lot without some alternatives.  Someone less sensitive wouldn't have to be as particular.

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?

Thankyou so much for your words. Its a hard battle when a supposed well known hospital whose celiac " specialist " has down played me because my colon looks fine and put it in my medical and so pcp doesn't take seriously. In their eyes we all carry that gene.Im having alot of bad days trying to be positive because of it.
