Hey there!

I was just wondering if anyone knows if improper digestion would cause someone to have hypoglycemic attacks.

I've been getting these alot latly and they are begining to really bother me...

I had hypoglycemia when i was 15 and it went away out of the blue and now its back with a vengence along with all the other symptoms

I have been noticing that my BM's are made mostly of undigestive food, and every three hours of so i get shaky, my vision blurres, i cant walk properly, i walk into things, my heart races, i sweat but i'm cold .... the doctors keep telling me that these are anxiety attacks because my sugar is in normal range the kicker is that if i eat something right away and have a drink it subsides within 5-15 minutes....

I've mention this a few times on this forum but its really bothering me, its the worst symptom i have other than the sob.....

I'll be going back to the GI in a few weeks and i really need to get this sorted out i have to get back to work time is passing by soo quickly and i'm just sitting here praying for answers.....

Thanks for listening

Are you waiting for a formal diagnosis before being gluten-free? I hope not. Try taking some sublingual B12 if you don't already. It may help with the problems. They sound almost like the ataxia I used to have. My DD also had spells like these when excercising. Also get on the diet if you are not already or at least do the BRA diet, bananas, rice, plain and applesauce for a while.

Hey there !

thanks for your responses!

Ravenwoodglass i'm not on the gluten-free diet yet, i had my first appointment with a gi specialist a little over a week ago and hes ordered a few tests.

I also finally got a list of antibodies run in the blood test i had from my gps sectetay and i found out that the full panel wasn't run so right now i'm trying to eat the two - three pieces of bread (i have been for some time) when i go back to him in a few weeks i'm going to request he run the full panel....

anyways i'm hoping that it will be the answers to all my misery

thanks!!!

Welcome to the forum, @yellowstone! The most common ones seem to be dairy (casein), oats, eggs, soy and corn. "Formed" meat products (because of the "meat glue" used to hold their shape) is a problem for some. But it can be almost anything on an individual basis as your sensitivity to rice proves, since rice is uncommonly a "cross reactor" for celiacs. Some celiacs seem to not do well with any cereal grains.

What foods can trigger a response in people with gluten sensitivity? I've read that there are foods that, although they don't contain gluten, can cause problems for people with gluten sensitivity because they contain proteins similar to gluten that trigger a response in the body. I've seen that other cereals are included: corn, rice... also chicken, casein. I would like to know what other foods can cause this reaction, and if you have more information on the subject, I would like to know about it. Right now, I react very badly to rice and corn. Thank you.
