Dextrol is from the Aloe Vera plant.  I don't see any information that it would be good for energy.  I saw a show once, I think it was Anthony Bordain, it was a third world country and they would drink pure aloe.  It was funny how people would try to choke it down, it's really slimy.  They used it as a kind of fix all elixir.  I do have an aloe very plant and use it in healing.

I think you just need to give yourself more time to heal.  There was a huge learning curve at the beginning for you and several "glutenings" and that probably set you back a bit.    I'm assuming your iron levels and thyroid are okay.

I've been at this since only March, but I have lived and cooked for a gluten free husband for over 12 years.

Rest!  Milk it!  Get others to do your chores!  Soon, you'll be back on your feet and you'll have to do all that work!

I will check it tomorrow. Maby it just has corn products in it thats affecting me? I don't know, Also my Liver enzymes are up. I am about tired of all this stuff!! All I know is I have almost 0 energy! There for a while I was walking and feeling better. But now it is like Blagh .... I guess I wish there was a magic pill to help me out lol I don't think I will be taking Aloe Vera lol Thanks for the info  ..... sounds gross! Hahahaha

Our support groups in Iowa have tried for years to educate doctors and resource sites like this one.  We have held yearly conferences with continued education classes.   We have brought in Dr. Murray, Dr. Fasano, Dr. Green and Dr. elliott.  In those many years we may have had 2 doctors attend.  We sent them information, with no response.  I talked to my personal doctor and she said their training for Celiac was to show them a skinny man in boxer shorts and a huge stomach.  Saying if you see this, it is Celiac.  If it isn't in their playbook then they don't care.  Most call it an allergy with no mention of our immune system.  There is so much false information on the internet.  Then people don't understand why they can't get well and are acquiring more immune diseases. I mention this site to everyone.  Scott has working hard for the Celiac community.

If you have DH you will likely also want to avoid iodine, which is common in seafoods and dairy products, as it can exacerbate symptoms in some people. This article may also be helpful as it offers various ways to relieve the itch:

You might also consider a low iodine diet as iodine is know to exacerbate dermatitis herpetiformis. But be careful with that as well as there are health problems that can accrue from iodine deficiency.

Hi, Yes, the rash has gone. I still get the itches but there is nothing to see now, apart from a lot of discoloured areas where the rash was worst. Occasionally I get a single lump come up, a bit like hives, but no bigger than a pea and it goes after 24hrs and a steroid cream application.  And yes, giving the gluten-free diet 110%. Very careful about any cross contamination.  This is my fifth autoimmune condition so well and truly on that bandwagon.
