Abnormal Screening Mammogram...worried

Add me to the hug list, Icelandgirl! But when I read what you said about your mother, it might help to remember that many times, health issues can be familial. Cysts seem to be one of those things. I know mothers and daughters that have had cyst problems but they were never cancerous. Just pesky cysts. So, if your mother has had this experience and everything was fine every time, dwell on that because it just might be you are like her and everything will BE FINE! I know you will be really worried because so wouldn't anyone else but concentrate on the positive, if you can!

I will now turn on my positive and healing thoughts beam to you and await that type of result on Monday.

Thanks so much for the hug Gemini. I've cried so much since yesterday that my eyes hurt. I really feel paralyzed with fear. I'm not sure how I'm going to get through the next few days. I don't think we'll have results until Thursday. And if they're bad how I'll get through that. I'd love to think that I'm like my mom, but she always had really dense breasts which is what led to biopsies. I on the other hand do not have particularly dense breasts but have an area of increased density on one breast over previous years. I'm so scared.

We called it the hurry up and wait process...every step seemed like we had to wait just another ten days. I don't think you'll have to wait more than a few days for this one. I hope not.

Hugs.

Thanks as always for the hugs and support, Lisa. I really need it. Struggling with emotions and fear. Ugh.

Great News!

I don't wish you another scare, but as with your Mom...this may not be the last lump or bump that needs to be investigated.  The first one was really scary for my sis and others I know with this issue... now it's.....oh well, another lump.  Just always investigate them!

Thanks for sharing the good report :)

LOL Gemini!  I have no idea what you look like, but I'm trying to picture this happy dance anyway.  :P   Thank you so much!  It feels so good.

I know how you feel.  Years ago, pre-celiac diagnosis, I kept getting canker sores, which is common for celiac people.  I also have Sjogren's so that may have contributed to the problem also.  Well....I had one that was not healing and I am usually a fast healer.  My dentist freaked out at about the 3 month mark and sent me to an oral surgeon because, of course, they wanted to biopsy it for cancer.  I was a nervous wreck, to put it mildly.  I had to wait about a week to get in on such short term notice and this oral surgeon ended up not doing a biopsy because he insisted it was not cancer.  He called it something else and said he saw this type of thing from time to time and it was never cancer.  The relief I felt......well, you know!  Turns out, I still had a lot of trouble with canker sores until I was diagnosed with celiac.  After about 3 months, I never, ever got another canker sore again.

And to think so many doctors blame them on a "virus".

Go ahead...have a little red wine tonight to celebrate!!!!!  Just a little....... :)

Do you think celiac causes or contributes to abnormal growths?  Whether it's canker sores or like what I've had this year uterine polyps, gallbladder polyps, etc.  Just wondering.

I will celebrate for sure!

I think it could and the reason could just be out of control inflammation.  Canker sores would be more obvious because your mouth is the start of the digestive tract.  But most illnesses start with inflammation so there could be a possiblity of it causing many other things.  I doubt there would be any studies done on it, though.  There is no money in Celiac Disease for doctors so we don't get much attention as far as research goes......only to come up with a stupid pill so people won't have to follow the diet.  I'd rather them study the link between associated conditions and a cure for those!  Sjogren's Syndrome can be a b%$@#......I would love it if I had normal moisture in my eyes and mouth.  :(

You don't appreciate these things until you lose them.......

You should be fine.  You may start feeling better within a few days.  Someone who is very low in thiamine may notice improvement within hours.   Did you get the NeuroMag  or another magnesium supplement?
    • xxnonamexx
Yes Bobs redmill cgf oatmeal I started when I became gluten-free. So taking all 3 with breakfast should work? Will I notice any reactions getting used to these or should I be fine. Thanks

Hello, @pilber309, welcome to the forum! Are you currently consuming dairy?   You mentioned something about lots of yogurt and cheese, but did you cut it out or are you eating lots of it?   Could you clarify please? Some people with Celiac react to casein, the protein in dairy the same as to gluten with antibodies and villi damage.
    • knitty kitty
You may want to skip the oatmeal.  I believe you're trialing a gluten free diet while waiting for an appointment with your doctor in the new year and doing a gluten challenge then.  Some people with Celiac disease react to the protein in oats called avenin the same as to gluten.  Cross contamination between oats and gluten containing grains is possible.  Are you consuming certified gluten free oats?   I would hate for you to have a reaction to the oats and blame it on the vitamins. Yes, it will be fine to take them all together.  I take mine all together, B Complex, Benfotiamine and TTFD Thiamine with breakfast. If you're really anxious about it, just take the B Complex and Benfotiamine at breakfast and the Thiamax at lunch.  You won't have to take a second B Complex with the Thiamax.
    • xxnonamexx
So I purchased the Life Extension Benfotiamine with Thiamine along with the Thiamax. I will take along with my Super B Complexes. I stopped taking the multi vitamins. Should I take all 3 vitamins/supplements together with my morning oatmeal breakfast? Do you think I will experience any bad symptoms when taking them.
