Pam Has Wheat In It.

I did not know this. I have been using a new Pam for the pan for several weeks and the last 2 days I have been really sick. I have been racking my brain trying to figure it out and then I read the can. Our last Pam was gluten-free. Hopefully I found my problem.

Regular Pam does not contain gluten.  IF you buy the baking kind for flouring baking pans - it does contain wheat.  Says with flour on the front.

Yep, the baking version does contain flour. Sorry that you're sick and hope that you get on the mend quickly!

I had store brand cooking sprays that were regular, not some baking one and they had a "may contain traces of wheat" warning on them. So they got tossed, however when I went and looked at name brand pam after someone said it was gluten-free, it wasn't specifically labeled gluten-free, so I just passed on it and didn't buy it.

I am using either a pat of butter or small amount of oil. I just don't even feel like risking it if it's not labeled gluten-free.

We use regular PAM all the time. No worries. It is not labeled gluten-free--like many mainstream products--because they don't want a legal liability issue if one of their suppliers makes a booboo and they didn't test.

      Thanks for your input.

If you have hemorrhoids 1x weekly I don't see how you have time to heal from one episode before you experience another one, unless each one is a very minor event. Have you consulted a physician about your hemorrhoid issue? It's not normal to be having an episode every week unless it is really one episode that is not completely healing between weekly flareups.

No I haven't had one since 2021. I rarely have more than 1 per week.

Sorry, I see that now as I reread your original post. You say you have hemorrhoids "only once a week" now. When I develop hemorrhoids, which is once every few years now, it generally takes 3-4 days for healing to take place. So, it doesn't seem like you could have much relief time between episodes if you have them weekly. Have you had a lower GI scoping done recently?

Everyday I eat a medium to large apple in the morning and a large banana at night. I eat a cup of oatmeal in the evening. The ezekiel wheat bread I eat has a good amount of fiber. I haven't dealt with constipation for at least a year. Most of the time my feces are soft.
