Does Anyone Else Get Panic Attacks Thinking They May Have To Go?

I still have some issues sometimes and have started to have panic attacks again. I hate it. Any advice? I sub teach and am not sure this is a good job for me since a teacher is only supposed to go during breaks or recess. This really stresses me out. I will see my gastro dr. later this week to go over yearly blood work. I don't know if I should mention this or not. I think coffee may still do it. But sometimes I still have issues in the morning when I've had no coffee. So I just feel at a loss. Please share any ideas you may have. I seem to have dumping syndrome many mornings.

What I used to do was take a full or a half tablet of Immodium before I went to work when I was still having frequent D.  Before I got to the point where constant D and joint and muscle pain got too bad prediagnosis that it was impossible to work I would take it so I could work and raise my kids. Sometimes 3 times a day on a doctor's advice.

Do mention this to your doctor. He can give you a 'script' stating your need to be able to relieve yourself whenever needed. I used to sub myself so I know how difficult it can be. Perhaps you could ask to temporarily sub for teacher assistants or aides rather than the teachers. I know the pay is less (or at least it is where I am) but it would keep your feet in the door and in those positions you would always have another person in the room if you had to leave quickly.

About the coffee. You mentioned in another post that you use a non-dairy creamer. Have you tried dropping the creamer but not the coffee? You could try almond milk, hemp milk, coconut etc. instead or even a splash of milk, either regular or lactose free. Might not be the case for you but I found the creamers to be a problem rather than the coffee.

Welcome to the forum, @yellowstone! The most common ones seem to be dairy (casein), oats, eggs, soy and corn. "Formed" meat products (because of the "meat glue" used to hold their shape) is a problem for some. But it can be almost anything on an individual basis as your sensitivity to rice proves, since rice is uncommonly a "cross reactor" for celiacs. Some celiacs seem to not do well with any cereal grains.

What foods can trigger a response in people with gluten sensitivity? I've read that there are foods that, although they don't contain gluten, can cause problems for people with gluten sensitivity because they contain proteins similar to gluten that trigger a response in the body. I've seen that other cereals are included: corn, rice... also chicken, casein. I would like to know what other foods can cause this reaction, and if you have more information on the subject, I would like to know about it. Right now, I react very badly to rice and corn. Thank you.
