I was in target ystrdy n to my surprise I eyed EGGO gluten-free waffles! I had no idea they even existed! There's cinnamon or plain available. I bought 1 box of each n tried the cinnamon this a.m. It was crispy outside n fluffy inside, not crumbly like Vans. Im very pleased with the texture.I found the cinnamon flavor very weak and so did my DD. she put syrup on hers. I will sprinkle a little cinnamon n sugar on mine next time.

The price was $2.99 for 8. We typically buy Natures Path waffles which is $3.50 for 6. So, we will get the EGGO from now on. Tomorrow we will try the plain ones. I'm pretty sure they are fine tho.

Nice to have a tasty quick breakfast, especially for kids!

I have tried them and I prefer Van's over Eggo's, although they are cheaper. Nature Path, did not settle well with me.

Lisa, don't u find the vans waffles rather crumbly?

I like Van's as well but i def. prefer the Eggo waffles. + Its nice to have some "old school normal" brands back in my freezer :D!

I bought Eggo's on an impulse yesterday based on this conversation -- I NEVER EAT EGGOS! How silly, now I have to eat them, but I dont have a gluten-free toaster yet, lol.

The cinnamon is very weak, u can barely taste it, so sprinkling a touch of cinnamon sugar gives it the boost it needs.

My DD prefers it with syrup tho.

No, I really don't.  I toast them in my toaster oven and top with melting peanut butter and organic, unfiltered honey or jam. Unfortunately, we are down to ONE grocery store in our town and they do not carry Van's any longer.  Gotta talk to the manager. -_-

Do you have a toaster oven?  I have my own shelf.  I think that they may be a bit gross in a micro.  Try buttered and fried, like a grilled cheese.  Maybe so?

Thank you. I must have misinterpreted a study or something. Thank you for the clarification. Much appreciated. Almost three years into my celiac diagnosis and I'm still learning new things.

I wasn’t clear, glucagon and gadolinium were intravenous. I drank about 5 cups of the prep during 45 minutes. I feel very tired now, probably partly because I was nervous, and partly because I had to fast for 6 hours beforehand and wasn’t very hungry when I got home.

That seems at lot of solution to have put threw you when you already have bowel issues , I will phone them tomorrow because it's sorbitol I have reactions too, thankyou for the input how do you feel now ? I'm not sure I can keep still for that long with my back issues either unfortunately I didn't know it could take that long 😕

The solution I had to drink contained sorbitol and mannitol. I was in the MRI, lying on my back, for about 40 minutes. I was given glucagon partway through, and a gadolinium contrast agent. After I got home there was some diarrhea from the prep solution.
