Quinoa Reaction?

My company cafeteria sometimes does a quinoa specialty station, with sauces and add-ins.  I've had long talks with the manager there about my Celiac and they've been extremely accommodating - they were very pleased to tell me about this new option.  We've discussed all the ingredients, and they have a separate prep area, so I felt quite confident about eating from this new station.

But, I have to say that each of the three times I've had it, I've had kind of a 'rumbling' tummy afterward.  I'd like to think it's not gluten, but maybe just more quinoa than I'm used to in one meal.  Is it common to get a bit of a reaction from quinoa, that is not gluten-related? Or should I fear some sort of cross contamination?

It's black quinoa if that makes a difference, and I eat plenty of quinoa otherwise, though maybe not this much at once.

Thanks.

I find that if I eat a lot of Quinoa - it upsets my stomach.  I think its hard to digest and maybe has a lot of fiber?

I had a hard time digesting quinoa when I was first diagnosed, but I was not getting glutened -- my damaged gut could not handle it. . Give it some time and then retest.

My partner can eat white rice but not brown rice or quinoa. Too much fiber

I wish I could get more fiber. Quinoa is an excellent source. Due to the high fiber content, it can be difficult to digest, especially during the celiac disease healing process.

Thank you all - that's very reassuring.

Thanks for the list too makes me realise why I still get symptoms after cutting gluten , all that reading has just made sense to why I'm still struggling , thankyou Scott Adams very insightful , I've been baking to and there is xanthum gum in the flour , I understand now why I still have issues with that too, and ive had to cut dairy also , i had a terrible flare few months ago and my throat also was very irritable and I had sinuses issues all makes sence 👍
