My son who's 16 will be studying to become a doctor at the U of B.C. He probably already has more knowledge than most doctors about celiac. The frustrations him and I have been through have definietly been a driving force on which type of doctor he wants to become.

Our family doc thinks we're crazy...you can see it in her eyes. She even said have you been on the internet?? Maybe you should, is what I felt like saying. She's been great in the past but with this she has no knowledge. On my yearly physical her intern treated me and the first thing she said was...let's check you for celiac. I wa sooooooo shocked!! Of course, it came back negative, since I've been gluten free for about 5 or 6 months. She did say that could happen and to keep doing what I'm doing if it's working! See theres hope with the new breed of Doctors graduating and in 10 years or so I'll have my very own..My son!! Good luck and hang in there! Always follow your gut! (pun intended)

Your response on this matter is what I expect. You’ve had a similar episode years ago, but this one is lasting longer!

I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?
