We had and issue with nuts lately.  We started REALLY looking at the labeling but we figured - They are nuts, how could there be a problem, but I still got sick after eating them.  My wife started making calls - a lot of calls - and she wasn't getting many answers.

Well, we finally got some answers (took about 3 weeks).  Here is what we found -

Surratefarms.com has Pecans that are Gluten Free.  The grower is in Texas and they gave me Surratefarms.  There is no gluten in their plant - we bought some and when they come in, we will see!

Fisher Nuts (all of them) are processed in a facilities that processes wheat or Gluten

Emerald Nuts (all of them) are processed in a facilities that processes wheat or Gluten

Planters (all of them) are processed in a facilities that processes wheat or Gluten

All of them indicated how careful and how ... and there shouldn't be a problem ... with the way I feel - sometimes good, sometimes not so good - off my list.

Wonderful almonds, Wonderful Pistachios, Blue Diamond almonds, Hammonds Black Walnuts are all packaged in Gluten Free facilities.

A lot of members swear by nuts.com I have issues with peanuts so that's a no go for me. I found TraderJoe's seems safe and they claim is alright. I mostly use Open Original Shared Link

^I go though a 25lb box in about 2-3 months normally >.> stuffs my substance .

Nuts.com is one of the best suppliers of really good nuts that are certified gluten-free.

I will add that Planters does a very good job at making sure they are not cc'd.  I am very, very sensitive and do have Planters nuts on occasion and have never gotten even remotely sick from them.  I have been gluten-free for 12 years now and pretty sure that if they were not safe for us, I would have been sick by now. Planters is a Kraft food and they are very up front with their information. Just because something is processed in the same facility as wheat does in no way mean it is not safe to eat.

Are you sure that the problem is gluten or wheat? Maybe you have developed an allergy to nuts.

I used to love cashews but I can't eat them anymore. One day I could eat them but the next time, I couldn't (it didn't matter what brand it was.  :(

Not allergic to nuts.  When I called the companies, they told me that they are either not Gluten Free of are processed in a shared facility.

I will look into Nuts.com

Went to nuts.com  - their pecans are $14.99 lbs.  Surratefarms.com is $25.00 for 2 lbs.  Did not look into any differences in shipping.

You gotta shop around a lot unless you have much deeper pockets than I do.

I have trouble with nausea. It often starts when I’m anxious about something (home repairs, sick dog) but continues long after the home is repaired or the dog is healthy again. When it happens I eat less and lose weight.  My gastroenterologist suggested ginger or peppermint tea. I don’t know if that will work or not because I haven't had the problem since she suggested it.

Hello  I'm not sure what to think . Seems no matter what I do I get sick. I had some yogurt with only 2 grams of sugar and is labeled gluten free ...the strawberry version seemed to really set me off My jaw is burning as well as my stomach and my feet.  Horrible pain..plus acid reflux and nausea... sensitivity to touch pain. ..yikes !! I don't know if it's from the lactose in the yogurt or if I'm getting an ulcer  This condition can make you question yourself quite a bit.  Then if you are not sure the anxiety comes 😞 Does any of these symptoms sound familiar to anyone? The neuropathy is quite intense.  What do you eat or drink after this happens  Open to suggestions  Thank you

Of course my son is on a 100% gluten free diet.  I wish his symptoms were not debilitating as there are right now.  He cannot work, even when a miniscule of cross contamination occurs.  It's not just GI distress, but intense fatigue, brain fog, depression, anxiety, insomnia, etc.  It's literally neurological inflammation.  Not to be taken lightly here.  We have sought out many other possible ways to cope during this window of time (8 months!!!!)  without success.   AN-PEP does not help and seems like studies on this are not well researched.  So, we are trying this out because research shows some promising results.  And, all participants showed no cravings afterwards, no signs of addiction.  The patch is different than the oral route such as smoking, vaping, gum, pouch, etc.

Have you tried AN-PEP enzymes, for example, GlutenX (who is a sponsor here)? A lot of research has shown that it can break down small amounts of gluten in the stomach, before it reaches the intestines. It might be a better approach than risking nicotine addiction, and the questionable research around this. I also hope that he’s trying to be 100% Gluten-Free.

Hi all  I was diagnosed Coeliac a few years ago and follow a gluten free diet. The list of foods that I can eat without a problem grows shorter on a weekly basis. [I also have diabetes and asthma also].  BUT the reason I am posting this is because I seem to struggle with nausea quite a lot, which is really quite debilitating, and I was wondering if others suffer from nausea, even if following a gluten free diet.
