Hydrolized Wheat/gluten Removed

i was just looking at the site of a company that makes gravy mixes, etc. they said that they have to list this (FDA) but that their products are tested and are gluten free. is this possible, and is it safe?

I don't think I'd trust that even if it meets some "official guidelines" for gluten-free. That's my opinion.

Anyway, there are gluten-free gravies out there. One company I am aware of is Open Original Shared Link. I wouldn't eat their gravy because it has yeast in it, which from my research was likely added for the MSG that results. But Google turns up others, so I'd look around a bit before choosing one.

My favorite gravy is my own homemade stuff. It's easy, and you control all the ingredients. I've always used cornstarch. If you can't use cornstarch, look into arrowroot. Both are great for thickeners. Much better than flour ever was, and naturally gluten-free. It's what any good chef uses anyway. I don't get why so many people seem to be stuck on using flour for gravy.

      I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

      Thankyou so much for your words.Its a hard battle when a supposed well known hospital whose celiac " specialist " has down played me because my colon looks fine and put it in my medical and so pcp doesn't take seriously. In their eyes we all carry that gene.Im having alot of bad days trying to be positive because of it.
