Confused with testing and symptoms

Welcome any input from those in this  I carry the gene for Celiac. Which from my understanding is I have the potential to have it or develop Celiac but may never develop it.  However, IgA test showed negative @ 1.4. I had been eating gluten free for approximately 2 weeks prior to testing. Primary due to recognizing a few years ago that bread and pasta seemed to be causing excessive bloating and gas. Ate them sparingly over the last few years.    Thought gluten may be what was causing current gastrointestinal issues so I cut it out.  Does anyone know if going gluten free for 2 weeks is enough to affect IgA testing?  Have follow up in a month and only note doctors office said is continue following gluten free.  Gastrointestinal issues are better but not  back to 100% normal.

It's possible that being gluten free for two weeks could cause a false negative. Add to that over the last couple years you've eaten "lower" gluten diet. 

Definitely possible. Unfortunately, you'd have to eat gluten for a couple of weeks before testing again for the test to be valid. 

Also, there are cases of undetectable Celiac, at least on blood tests.

      Welcome to the forum, @yellowstone! The most common ones seem to be dairy (casein), oats, eggs, soy and corn. "Formed" meat products (because of the "meat glue" used to hold their shape) is a problem for some. But it can be almost anything on an individual basis as your sensitivity to rice proves, since rice is uncommonly a "cross reactor" for celiacs. Some celiacs seem to not do well with any cereal grains.

      What foods can trigger a response in people with gluten sensitivity? I've read that there are foods that, although they don't contain gluten, can cause problems for people with gluten sensitivity because they contain proteins similar to gluten that trigger a response in the body. I've seen that other cereals are included: corn, rice... also chicken, casein. I would like to know what other foods can cause this reaction, and if you have more information on the subject, I would like to know about it. Right now, I react very badly to rice and corn. Thank you.

      Shingles is dormant and related to chicken pox when one has had in the past.Shingles comes out when stress is heightened.I had my 3rd Shingles in 2023.
