No tater tots on that list... :(

Thanks for posting, I was wondering about the ez-marinaders just yesterday!

ebrbetty Rising Star

the tater tots are the first ones listed

the ez-marinader that I had was good, bit it comes in the one use bag so I dfid extra chicken then froze it with the marinade..I won't buy it again, the one I make homemade is so much better

jerseyangel Proficient

Thanks Betty--good to see that both kinds of hash browns are safe. I usually make my own because my husband likes them better, but the frozen are easier once in a while. PS--I finally got an e-mail back from Lactaid--their Fast-acting Chewable Caplets are gluten-free.

Well, I never said that I could read

Ultra-blonde moment, sorry!

(no worries, I'm actually blonde, so it happens)

Thanks so much. Forget stamp collecting and scrapbooking! My new hobby is ingredient/product lists. :D

Wait... the teriyaki marinader has no gluten? Is there soy sauce in it? Every teriyaki sauce I've ever seen has soy sauce in it. Suppose it's gluten-free soy sauce??

I make a gluten-free homemade teriyaki sause with Organic Wheat Free Tamari Soy Sauce. then I make an awesome fried rice with it..we had it again tonight, its one of my hubby and sons fav gluten-free meals I make. you can PM me if you want the recipe..I just may not get back to you tonight..I think I may be getting the flu :(

kevsmom Contributor

Betty ,

It happened to me again - someone beat me to posting it :D.

I remember reading on here about a recipe that included Ore Ida Tater Tots. I went to oreida.com and clicked on FAQS. They have a site listing their Gluten Free Products. TATER TOTS WAS NOT ON IT.

I guess that you are just too quick for me.

Thanks!!

I wonder why their website doesn't have the tater tots listed as gluten-free?

For some reasone there seems to be confusion about the tots. Has anyone check the bag for suspicous ingredinents?

teebs in WV Apprentice

I did, as I bought some tonight to have for dinner because I thought they were OK. I checked the ingredients when I was in the store and everything looked fine. Some of the other Ore-Ida products contained wheat and explicitly stated so. I also bought the waffle fries because I thought the ingredients looked safe as well.

The waffle fries have 'modified food starch" (UGH) listed and the tater tots list 'natural flavoring' (another UGH) and yellow corn flour......

Who the heck knows! I am getting really disgusted with all of this. I think I am almost at the point of eating whole foods only. I cannot believe that I, the major junk-food junkie, am saying that.

Betty - I forgot to thank you for posting this information. I was so excited by the tater tots that I forgot my manners! But now, I don't think I will eat them. :(

Im kind of suprised that Taquitos sold at coscos is on there. I could have sworn that the wrap is made out of wheat flour. Anybody???? It would be awesome if it really is MY son LOVES them!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A confirmed diagnosis of refractory coeliac disease is required to participate in the study unfortunately. Apologies you are feeling miserable even though you have remained gluten-free, I hope you are able to receive further understanding as to why from the relevant medical professional. I am hoping to provide copies of the content used in this study following its completion end of this year so will make a note to post on here when the study is complete, a copy of the resources used from the group.

Do you think it’s a vitamin issue that could make celiac symptoms worse during recovery ?
    • trents
Multivitamin products are seldom potent to offset the vitamin and mineral deficiencies that typically result from long term undiagnosed celiac disease. We commonly recommend sublingual B12, a B-complex 5-10k IU of D3, 400 mg daily of magnesium glycinate, and zinc picolinate. The forms of certain vitamins like magnesium and zinc are important since it has a significant impact on absorbability. If you live near a Costco, the Kirkland Signature series and Nature Made lines are good quality choices and economical. And they will indicate on the packaging if they are gluten free.

I’ve been taking a multivitamin however my doctors appointment is not available till next month for any specific vitamin tests

Are you addressing possible/probable vitamin and mineral deficiencies through some serious supplementation?
