I have a package of Ener-G pizza crusts (they come packed in 3s). I'm only one person, so 3 pizza crusts would last me a long time. Has anyone ever tried freezing them after they open the package? Or does anyone know how long they'll keep once the package is opened?

Same goes for the bread/English muffins, etc. Thanks guys!

As far as the bread is concerned (and the Muffins), they will last a little while longer than the usual gluten-free bread (around a week or more) once opened...

FYI,

Make sure you toast the Energ Bread -- it might be the kost disgusting piece of food on the planet when it is not toasted

You have been warned!

:)

I haven't tried them, but I imagine freezing them would be ok... If you like you could go ahead and put your sauce and cheese on them before freezing them, and then when you pull it out of the freezer just put your toppings on!

Whoops,

I didn't answer the question correctly -- my bad!

They should keep while frozen after they have been opened (as long as they are in a freezer bag or air tight)

The pretzels are great...but watch the fat content in the foods...it is usually really high so I only eat them when I really want a snack that tastes like the ones I used to know!!!! I usually toast the bread and then slice it down the middle making two whole slices of bread. It doesn't taste too bad that way....

I put my EnerG bread in the freezer once I have openned it because it don't eat it very quickly.

I have to recommend the Ener-g Tapioca light bread. It tastes like real bread. It isn't graining like the others. The regular tapioca bread has to be toasted or it isn't really edible. Try the 'light".

Anyone try their Rice English Muffins, Choc. Iced Donuts or the Melba Toast?

Overall, Ener-g not too tastey?

I just tried the hot dogs buns and it was pretty good (although I haven't had a "real" bun in six months!). I did try their bread (plain rice I think) and thought it was styrofoam w/ a label - I did not care for it and have not tried it again.

The only way I've found to make the rice bread taste halfway decent is to spread it with garlic butter and cook it on the pancake griddle - flip it over to lightly toast the back side. It isn't too bad this way. It's also edible made into grilled cheese if you use enough butter and cook it until it's browned. Of course, I haven't had any "real" bread for about 10 years, so I might not be the best judge of taste ;) .

Were you doing any of the new home construction yourself? Drywall compounds and adhesives used in construction have been known to cause problems for some celiacs.

Hello @Scatterbrain and welcome to the forum I am sorry to hear you have had a return of your symptoms.  My first thoughts were that stress can cause IBS-like symptoms - a friend of mine has been suffering a huge amount of stress and when that happens she gets diarrhea.  But you say that you haven't got any bad abdominal issues, so perhaps you could share what other symptoms you are having? Hello, I was newly diagnosed in January of this year (2025).  Since then I have been strict about staying gluten free and only cooking at home.  I started feeling better in July while gradually resuming close to my normal routine of activities and athletics. September and October were extremely stressful due to a new home build being finished and moving.  My spouse and I take care of his mom who has advanced dementia and have been since 2021.  We did all the moving as well as get the other house on the market for the month of October.  Since earlier this month I feel like I did back in the early stages of my diagnosis.  Almost all of my symptoms have come back except for the bad abdominal issues.  I haven’t changed my diet or supplements since January and wonder if the stress has caused a set back? Any thoughts are helpful.  Thanks

This is why Daura Damm can be a sponsor here--at 3ppm or less it is gluten-free, and it's doubtful that anyone with celiac disease would ever have issues with such levels. Some people may be reacting to the yeast in the beer, but I seriously doubt that such beers could trigger elevated antibodies or villi damage--the science says such levels won't trigger celiac disease issues.

I have to express some significant skepticism about the drclark cleansing programs you've mentioned. The claim that a specific, three-part parasite and organ cleanse is a universal solution for chronic health issues is a major red flag, as it oversimplifies the immense complexity of the human body and conditions like Celiac disease, which is an autoimmune disorder, not a parasite infection. Regarding your Celiac disease, the reaction you describe, while real to you, does not necessarily confirm a diagnosis; a delayed reaction is common with various digestive issues, and a definitive diagnosis typically requires specific blood tests and an intestinal biopsy, not just a provider's acceptance of symptoms. Furthermore, your mention of approaching mayors seems to misunderstand the role of local government versus federal policy; the deduction for gluten-free food is a federal tax law, and a mayor has no jurisdiction to implement widespread Celiac screening, which is a medical and public health decision far beyond a municipal leader's purview. It sounds like you are navigating a difficult health journey, but I would strongly advise consulting with qualified medical specialists and registered dietitians over relying on unverified online cleansing programs.
