Yummy Cake Recipe

I just made a really delicious cake from a recipe on this website. It's the White Cake recipe. I added a package of coconut pudding mix (Oetker brand) to the dry ingredients and added about 2 extra Tbs. of water. I didn't have any rice milk, so I used water for the liquid and it still turned out great. Even my gluten-loving kids cut into it. It's half gone already and it's not even cooled enough to frost. I used my Bette Hagman's gluten-free flour mix, but used 1/4 C potato starch in place of 1/4 C of the flour mix.

I'll try to post the link:

Cheri,

Next time I am going to try to use egg replacer and gelatin. That's worked well in the past for cakes. This time I used real eggs, although I don't normally. It was for my kids, who can have eggs, but I tasted a little bit too. I'm pretty sure there is a list that mentions gluten-free pudding mixes somewhere on this website.

:) Thanks so much for the recipe. I'm going to give it a try. I need a birthday cake for my husband who has celiac. Thanks again.

I agree, this cake is good, and simple to make without having to buy out the store to make it. I used it for strawbeery shortcake and it was a hit with celiac's and non-celiacs.I think this would also work for a fruit torte too....yum yum....

CheriA's chicken nuggets and this cake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought I died and went to gluten-free heaven.......

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
