Vinaigrettes?

I'm about to go to lunch with my boss. The restaurant we're going to is small and one I generally trust.

As for salad dressings, they make their own viniagrette. To me the class of dressing sounds generally safe. Oil, vinegar, spices. Should be alright, right?

I hate to generalize, and of course I will ask, but I want more than a wedge of lemon with my salad

Thanks!

*Generally* safe - yeah. One of the main exceptions would be if they use Balsamic flavored vinegar instead of natural balsamic - or something like that. You could always ask for just the oil and the vinegar separately, and then make the dressing yourself. That way you know exactly what's in it and you don't have you worry that they might have put something else in there. I also usually carry around packets of Annie's dressings in my purse. Those can come in handy.

Where do you get the packets of Annie's dressings? I've been looking everywhere, but I can only find bottles.

You can order them here:

There are a couple health food stores near me (Jimbos and the People's Co-op) that sell them as well.

Thanks. I'll order some.

Thiamine interacts with all the other B vitamins.  Thiamine and B 6 make a very important enzyme together. With more thiamine and other vitamins available from the supplements your body is absorbing the ones you need more of.  The body can control which vitamins to absorb or not.  You're absorbing more and it's being transported through the blood.   It's common to have both a Thiamine and a Pyridoxine deficiency.  Keep taking the B Complex. This is why it's best to stop taking supplements for six to eight weeks before testing vitamin levels.

Yes I took a supplement that had B6 in it, low dosage though. I've stopped taking that. B1 doesn't affect other B vitamin levels?

Have you tried lip balm made from tallow?  It's been used for thousands of years and works better than those with waxes. I prefer Vintage Traditions brand tallow balm products.

Are you taking a B 6 supplement or a supplement containing B 6 like a B Complex?  Do you have pins and needles in your toes?   Don't worry about the thiamine being high.  The blood is a transport system that carries thiamine to the cells so they can store it.  It's fine.

Quick question, had some blood tests done again and once again my zinc was too low but now ofcourse my B1 was too high and so was my B6. The doc said to  immediately  stop all supplements that contain B6. Can using thiamine raise the levels of B6 too?
