Have any of you tried Amaranth grain as a hot breakfast cereal? I got some recently and its delicious! It has a mild sweet flavor, packed with fiber, too. I like it much better than teff and qinoah which to me have a stong, acrid or musty smell and flavor to them. The only two drawbacks with Amaranth is that its spendy and it takes 20+ minutes to cook.

I just bought some amaranth but haven't tried it yet-- sounds great!

I do like quinoa though-- did you rinse yours first? It has an off-taste in the grain coating that can be washed away with several rinses of water. If you haven't tried that you might give it another chance.

Just a thought!

Mmm... I love amaranth! When I first went gluten free, I did a huge order from Nu World Amaranth. A great company!

      I put on over 12kg by eating protein with every meal, 3 to 5 times a day. Eggs, Chicken, Tuna, Turkey etc. I stay away from too much red meat as it can be inflammatory. Scott is correct. I've come across a bunch of Coeliac PT's on Tiktok and Instagram. They all say the same thing, the key is getting enough protein and consistency.

Remember, consistency with these short sessions and prioritizing post-workout recovery, including good sleep and hydration, are just as crucial as the workouts themselves. It's a smart, gradual process at any age.

      Trader Joe's carries a good variety of affordable gluten-free foods like bagels, hamburger buns, pasta, etc. I like Franz Gluten Free bread, which is available at my local Costco. Food For Life and Little Northern Bakehouse (advertisers here) also make excellent gluten-free breads. Costco also sells gluten-free pizzas, crackers, gravy, etc.
