Is there any specific test they can do for a casein intolerance? We think I might have problems with casein but I don't know for sure. Thanks!

Bethani

Bethani,

I just gave this link to a friend yesterday for testing for celiac. They also test for yeast, casin, eggs, and some other things. I haven't used them before, but what they do seems to make sense. I plan on using them in the future to get my son and daughter tested. The list of testimonials on the site is pretty impressive. Maybe someone here has tried them and can tell you more.

Good luck.

I was also wondering, Is goat cheese ok to have if I do have a casein sensitivy?

I have tested myself and 2 daughters for gluten intolerance with Enterolab. One daughter was also tested for casein intolerance and I've now ordered the casein intolerance test for the other daughter and myself.

I didn't have any symptoms for gluten intolerance but after getting the test results, I can say it has made a big difference to me in the way I feel. I'm suspicious that I have the casein intolerance but want to know for sure so I know if I need to be strict.

I feel like the tests are worth it.

Yes, you can have food intolerance testing done. There are several labs that do this. I used Great Plains. They will partially bill the cost to some insurances, ie. Anthem. Open Original Shared Link

I found I can't have goat products either. I've got an intolerance to casein. :(

My understanding is that some people can tolerate them, others can't. I haven't tried goat milk yet.

Thanks for the list too makes me realise why I still get symptoms after cutting gluten , all that reading has just made sense to why I'm still struggling , thankyou Scott Adams very insightful , I've been baking to and there is xanthum gum in the flour , I understand now why I still have issues with that too, and ive had to cut dairy also , i had a terrible flare few months ago and my throat also was very irritable and I had sinuses issues all makes sence 👍
