My family and I do not eat out often, but I don't know of any restaurants in my area that we could even go to where I would be able to eat. We can't afford Outback and the closest one is 45 minutes away.

Is there anyway to find a list?

Thanks for any and all suggestions/help.

There is a PF Changs in Beachwood, right off of 271 at Chagrin.

I don't do much restaurants, but I know that one.

Thanks! I'm in Brunswick. That is a little far too. It doesn't seem like there is a whole lot on my side of town.

I'm from Cleveland. There really aren't that many places...that I know of, aside from PF Changs and Outback. I'm trying to think if we go anywhere else.

Stir Crazy at Legacy Village will accomodate gluten-free.

If I think of anywhere else, I'll post it.

Texas Roadhouse has a Gluten Free Menu. I emailed the one in Willoughby and got an email and a phone call right away. Pretty amazing service. There's one in Parma at Route 42 and 480. There's a lot of peanuts though if anyone is allergic to that. Longhorn isn't gluten free, but I met the district manager and talked to him about it. Maybe they'll get on board.

Does accomodate mean they have a gluten-free menu, or they'll make something for you that is gluten-free?

Where in Cleveland do you live?

I found out today that Tommy's in Coventry has some gluten-free stuff.

Stir Crazy...well, I don't remember if they have an actual menu, but they do have gluten-free sauces. The manager came out and talked to us and told us what sauces we can have gluten free.

I'm in Brunswick, between Cleveland and Akron. Are you in this area also? Or from around the area?

Hi there!

I live in Rootstown but we travel...soo...I found that there are a lot of choices in N. Canton if you get down that way...Carrabas...Don Pablo's...Outback...Damon's....Hog Heaven (will accomodate)...Mulligans.(will accomodate) Bravo...and other little restaurants. Our Celiac group in the N. Canton area has done some wonderful work with independent restaurant owners and we truly are reaping the benefits.

I did eat at the Don Pablo's in Cleveland (not too expensive but Mexican) and had a wonderful experience as well as at Pf-Changs. Often, I will call and speak to the manager if I am going somewhere else and prepare them for my request. I ALWAYS ask for a seasoned waiter/waitress....that alleviates a lot.

I called Hard Rock Cafe today and asked about their gluten free menu because I didn't see any information online. They said they didn't have one...

You are right to be proactive, as research does indicate that individuals with celiac disease can have a higher predisposition to enamel defects, cavities, and periodontal issues, even with excellent oral hygiene. While many people with celiac successfully undergo orthodontic treatment without complication, your caution is valid. It may be beneficial to seek a consultation with an orthodontist who is familiar with managing patients with autoimmune conditions or who is willing to collaborate with your daughter's gastroenterologist or a periodontist. They can perform a thorough assessment of her current oral health, discuss your specific concerns about recession and decay, and create a tailored hygiene plan. This second opinion could provide a clearer risk-benefit analysis, helping you decide if addressing the cosmetic concern of the lower teeth is worth the potential risks for your daughter, especially if they are not currently affecting function or her confidence.

It's strange because I'm pretty sure not too long ago I picked up a loaf of bread with B vitamins, but I can't find a single one now.  Probably cutbacks, everyone's trying to save money now!
    • Scott Adams
Eating grains typically depletes certain B vitamins, so I'm not sure why they decided to fortify with calcium and iron, but hopefully we'll see more B vitamin fortification in gluten-free products going forward.

@HAUS, I was at an event in the UK a few years back. I remember ringing the restaurant ahead to inquire about the gluten free options. All I wanted was a few gluten free sandwiches, which they provided and they were delicious. The gluten-free bread they used was Warbutons white bread and I remember mentioning it on this site before. No harm in trying it once. It's fortified with Calcium and Iron. https://www.warburtonsglutenfree.com/warbs_products/white-loaf/ The only other gluten-free bread that I've come across that is fortified is Schar with Iodized salt, nothing else.
