Sort Of Strange Gluten Responce From Company, Should I Try This

This is a reponce from violet packing, They make sauces for resturants. One of them is a delicious pizza sauce called don pepino they used to use it at a pizza place i went to. after reading this statment from them would you eat it ig you were me ?

It is the policy of Don Pepino Company to obtain our raw materials (tomatoes, salt, corn oil, and spices) from approved sources. It is possible that in the growing, processing, and handling of these items, they may have been exposed to conditions that introduced gluten-containing material into them. While this is very unlikely even with the best Good Manufacturing Practices, we cannot say with absolute certainty that our products contain no gluten. As you can see from our ingredient list (available at our website) there is no ingredient by itself that would contain gluten.

I would, that's a cya statement. It sounds like they clearly label.

i'd feel safe giving it to my kids.

Am I the only person that thinks that these kind of responses have been on the rise since the McDonalds Fiasco, or am I just opening up a can of worms? :P

I'd eat it, BTW.

I don't think it has anything to do with the McD's situation, but it most likely has to do with the new labeling law. I think it is pretty lousy, but it is just something we have to deal with.

And I would also be okay with eating the sauce and feeding it to my daughter.

(My boys won't touch any kind of sauce with a ten foot pole! They don't even like to sit next to someone eating sauce! They won't touch any kind ofcheese either, unless it is gluten-free cheesecake! "It isn't like it is real cheese."-Ben :P )

I agree that these responses are on the rise, but... Let me clarify that... I think the majority of the "new" CYA statements are coming from companies that pretty much just ignored us before or didn't understand how serious the issues were. I think the whole McDonalds thing may have been a God send for us. It really brought things into the public eye. I know that I had several e-mails from friends telling me that there was now gluten in the fries. These people had never even heard about gluten before I was diagnosed. Anyway, I'm rambling, my point is that I'd rather have a company give me a CYA statement than I would have them tell me it's safe when they really have no clue.

BTW, I'd also eat it.

Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen  I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce.   Something is making my pain so much worse  I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs.  Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever would do. I'm fairly new to this. Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding

I think I found a huge culprit for severe reactions to create worsening of my c symptoms. Do people with celiac have sensitivity and /or have opposite reaction to certain medications Where can I find a list ?  I'm new here I'm.wondering why I am getting worse when I take certain medicine...the burning feet.  Rebound muscle pain so intense  How many people get opposite effects or have a horrible attack after these meds

Does anyone know if that includes scrambled eggs and healthy smart butter (,gluten free) I add a very tiny amount of margarine less than a teaspoon.  I did no't have any bread    It just seems like no matter what I eat my stomach and nerves over fire and here comes a host of horrible symptoms. My lower abdomen feels horrible, my right leg thigh muscle.. very odd. Jaw pain. Burning feet , joint pain , you name it  The anxiety just creeps up into brain fog. I don't think I could explain this to anyone who is unfamiliar.  Also,  I most likely will not remember posting this until I check it.  This is highly unusual for me because I have an excellent memory.  One weekend before I knew anything about celiac I lost an entire weekend from severe brain fog, confusion, pain, etc.  I honestly thought I was losing my mind. When I think back I recall eating a lot of PBJ sandwiches and turkey sandwiches.  Once again did not know about gluten.  I was just too sick to cook. Do people fast during attacks ?? It seems horrible to keep going through this. I hope I'm not causing my own problems... I wonder if I should fast because I'm not eating gluten .  Chicken ,  scrambled eggs no milk , canned carrots,  gluten free low sugar low fat Greek yogurt which I already posted about 😞 Any suggestions I am open... I am bedridden when this happens to me.  Thank you Celiac community. 🙏🏻❤️

Yeah, that sounds super familiar. When inflammation levels are high — especially at the start of changing your diet — the body often develops a fructose and lactose intolerance. Unfortunately, the only thing that really helps is cutting out anything that isn’t lactose-free or that contains sugar. So basically, stick to meat, veggies, fish…
